Good day all. The Democrats have taken the drubbing they received in 2016, along with the drubbings they’ve been getting since 2010 and have determined their future course of action.
They are going to concentrate on California and the other coastal blue states and ignore the rest of the country. Here are the details from Fox News:
After painful November 2016 losses, Washington Democrats still appear committed to devoting resources to strongholds like California, instead of responding to party pleas to put time and money into Middle America to reconnect with disaffected voters.
The contrast came into full view when the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee earlier this month started moving senior staffers to deep-blue California, then provided essentially no help to its candidate in the Kansas special election, who on Tuesday nearly pulled off a huge upset.
And how did the Democrats respond to the loss?
Washington Democrats hailed candidate James Thompson’s narrow loss as a moral victory, considering Republicans have held the seat since 1995.
He still lost. You can also bet your bottom dollar that the GOP is going to look into what almost went wrong and work to correct it for the next election.
But Thompson made clear that the DCCC and the Democrat National Committee could have done more, considering Washington Republicans including President Trump, Vice President Pence and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz invested time and money to save the seat.
What? You mean the Republicans actually came out and helped? Why that’s so gauche!
“The DCCC and the DNC need to be doing a 50-state strategy,” said Thompson, after coming within 6 percentage points of winning Kansas GOP Rep. Mike Pompeo’s open House seat. (Pompeo won reelection there last year with roughly 60 percent of the vote before becoming the CIA director in January.)
Pompeo’s win probably had more to do with him than with the Republican party. Thanks to morons like Speaker of the House Paul “Eddie Munster” Rino, the Republicans are lucky to hold onto the seat. Still, the Republicans learned from their mistakes and that’s why they’ve been crucifying the Democrats.
The state Democrat party disputes a report that it gave Thompson just $3,000 late in the race but has failed to provide documentation showing the group in fact backed the first-time candidate’s campaign from the start.
This reminds me of what happened in Virginia during the last governor’s election. The GOP candidate was behind, and was expected to lose badly. Because of this, the GOP stopped sending in support. Then the Republican candidate closed in on the Democrat, but since he didn’t have any support from the national party, lost narrowly to the Clinton’s bag man, Terry McAuliffe. He’s proven to be as bad as people expected. Thankfully that crook is term limited and will be out soon.
The DNC contributed no last-minute money to counter the GOP infusion, with newly-installed Chairmen Tom Perez telling The Washington Post: “There are thousands of elections every year, though. Can we invest in all of them? That would require a major increase in funds.”
Well DUUUHH! Of course it will. Guess what? The Republicans figured that out after losing several races they could have won and started working their asses off raising money. But then, you would actually have to work instead of sucking down champagne and caviar at the normal Democrat events.
DNC spokesman Joel Kasnetz told Fox News on Wednesday that the outcome of the Kansas race — in a district Trump won in November by 27 percentage points — proves voters’ “resounding frustration” with the president’s agenda and that Washington Democrats are “committed to organizing in every zip code.”
Somehow, I don’t think that’s the case, but feel free to run with that idea. I’m sure the New York Times will be happy to help you reinforce that belief in the Democrat party.
Meanwhile, the DCCC, which declined to comment for this story, is already sending staffers to Southern California to establish a base camp for 2018 House races in the state and in Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
Of those states, I think Nevada is the only one they might have to actually work for. California is essentially a single party state and the Democrats are currently reducing it to a nice replica of a third world country.
“Moving out West is one of the improvements that we’re making at the DCCC in order to maximize gains in the midterms,” says group Chairman Rep. Ben Ray Luján.
What gains? You picked up a couple of seats, but your bench has been sand blasted clean.
But whether the plan is enough to satisfy rank-and-file Democrats after November 2016 remains to be seen.
It depends on who you consider to be the “Rank and File” Democrats, doesn’t it? Of late, what the Democrat Party considers to be rank and file looks an awful lot like spoiled brats, Marxists, America haters and people who, bluntly, can’t be trusted to tie their own shoes correctly.
“We have to talk to those people who take a shower after work, not those who just take a shower before work,” Ohio Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan said after the losses and amid his subsequent, failed effort to replace California Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi as House minority leader.
And therein lies the problem. The Democrat’s platform is destructive to those very people. Under Obama and the Democrats, the coal industry was almost destroyed, and Felonia von Pantsuit promised to finish it off. Trump talked to these people, he listened to them and now that he’s in office, he’d doing everything he can to help them back on their feet in the best way possible. By lifting the dead hand of government bureaucrats off their backs and letting them succeed.
He also joined fellow party members in saying Democratic leaders had become too focus on liberal bastions like California, New York and neighbor East Coast states.
Despite Democrats last year winning a handful of House seats, Republicans will still have a daunting, roughly 44-seat majority going into the midterms and a 52-48 seat edge in the Senate.
And the odds are they will increase that number provided Eddie Munster can be prevented from doing anything else as stupid as his joke of a repeal of Obamacare. It’s beginning to look like McConnell has learned and with his handling of the Gorsuch nomination, has finally figured out that the Democrats, and, unfortunately, a few Republicans, can’t be trusted.

In California, Democrats are targeting seven incumbent House Republicans — including high-profile Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Darrell Issa and three others in Southern California.
I don’t know those districts, but since the Democrats control everything in California, and it looks like there might have been some massive voter fraud out there, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t pick them off. It won’t matter for two reasons. The odds are the GOP will win significantly more than they lose, and besides, California wants to secede, making the elections moot. (Which begs the question, why are they still here?)
Ben Tulchin, a San Francisco-based Democratic pollster and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ pollster in the 2016 Democratic primaries — supports the party’s California strategy.
“There’s an untapped pool of Democratic voters that just doesn’t exist in place like Iowa,” he said.
Better hope they don’t get deported bub.
Tulchin also argued that reaching voters by TV in the greater-Los Angeles market is too expensive and that voters in largely-conservative Orange County, particularly along the coast, are becoming more socially liberal or at least more moderate.
“They’re almost all pro-environment,” Tulchin said.
No one is anti-environment meathead. What they are opposed to is treating this as a religion, and that if you refuse to worship at the alter of Global Warming in the Church of Climate Change, you will be burned as a heretic.
The lies pushed by the Democrats for decades are catching up to them. They have lost most of the country including several former Democrat strongholds. They refuse to see the problem. It isn’t the messengers, it’s the message.
People in what the Democrats have long referred to as “Flyover Country” finally saw just how bad the Democrats are when it comes to managing the nation. They only have to look at the collapse of California, Detroit and all the other moonbat run cities and states to understand that the Democrats simply can’t be trusted. But don’t let me stop you. After all, I am a firm believer in Napoleon Bonaparte’s view of things.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
