Good day all. Yesterday it was announced that Bill O’Reilly had been fired from Fox. He was the latest to be accused of harassment by some women of hurting their feelings.
I don’t know the details of the accusations, nor do I care. I do know that I have long considered Bill O’Reilly to be a fraud, a phony and a hypocrite. I stopped watching him years ago when Michelle Malkin got into a fight with Geraldo Rivera and O’Reilly backed Rivera. Rather then suing, Ms. Malkin told Fox to shove it and refused to appear on O’Reilly’s show from that point forward.
I don’t know the truth of what happened, and frankly I don’t care. I do hope O’Reilly does go after his “Accusers” in court. Why? I’m hoping for some Mutual Assured Destruction. I do know that Fox is going to take a hit in the ratings now that O’Reilly is out, but I suspect it won’t last. Personally, I would love to see them offer his slot to Michelle Malkin. I doubt she wants the job, but it would be poetic justice. Goodbye Bill, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

As much as I agree with you on Bill O’Fraudulent (it’s been a LONG time since I liked him), I can’t agree on Fox. They started out “fair” and “balanced” (i.e. just slightly to the right of the rest of the lunatics) to get ratings. Now that they have them, they don’t need their viewers anymore and can just make money off the fact that at least some people still have cable TV.
Time (and past time) to cut the cord, if you haven’t yet. Every single cable subscriber is just an unwitting cash cow for the leftards at this point. And it will stay that way at least until/unless FULLY al la carte is available.
As for Maklin, I’m not sure where she actually is but she appears fairly centrist to center-right. I don’t mind that (most of the time), so she’s at least mostly OK in my book. But because of that, she won’t get a show from them. Not without new ownership, at least. Carlson is probably the last even halfway conservative to be hired by that network.
Fox news didn’t actually start that way, but it’s made itself into faux news. I already was done with it anyway. But now I’m extra-so.
