The corruptable Janet Napolitano

Good day all. Once again, we have the progressive elitist liberal democrats acting as they always do. Arrogant, and thinking that the rules do not apply to them. In this case, we have Janet Napolitano, or as she was more commonly known, Janet Incompeteno.

Incompetano’s claim to fame was being the head of the Department of Homeland Security during the first term of the Great Mistake, Barack Obama. Her reign of error earned her the nickname of “Incompetano” when she decided anyone to the right of Karl Marx, (Or her master, Barack Obama), was more of a threat then Islamic terrorism.

After her disastrous reign ended, she, like most failed democrats, went into academia. She became the president of the University of California, and promptly brought her standards of incompetence, greed and tyranny to new levels. Now she’s in real hot water. It seems she hid some $175 million dollars from the public while demanding, and getting hikes in tuition and fees. Here are some of the details from Fox News:

After a state audit found University of California administrators hid $175 million from the public while increasing tuition, university system President Janet Napolitano apologized Tuesday for the way her office handled the investigation — but disputed several of the audit’s findings.

Oh, well then, that’s that. Incompetano has apologized. All is well and now we can just “Move on.” Unfortunately for that incompetent, greedy cow, she managed to piss off everyone and the knives are out.

In an unusual show of bipartisan agreement, lawmakers from both parties said during a hearing lasting more than four hours on Tuesday that they are deeply troubled by the state auditor’s finding that the UC president’s office tried to interfere with the audit.

Deeply troubled? Is that all? This corrupt cow basically stole millions from the students, alumni and taxpayers from the state and federal level. Never mind still having a job, why isn’t she looking at a grand jury investigation?

Later in the hearing, several legislators said they appreciated Napolitano’s apology and her promise to implement the audit’s recommendations.

Assemblyman Jose Medina said he found the auditor’s description of interference by the president’s office particularly concerning.

“To interfere in that process, to me, is undefendable,” the Democrat from Riverside said. “I am extremely bothered that there was tampering.”

Oh well, I’m glad you are bothered by this. Now if you were concerned, I would expect Incompetano to be led off in shackles. As for Incompetano?

Napolitano maintained that the money in reserves actually totals $38 million, which she described as a “prudent and reasonable” amount set aside for unexpected expenses. Most of the $175 million identified in the audit funds important university programs including research grants, Napolitano said.

Research grants are usually handed out by various federal agencies. Not always though. A number of private businesses also give out grants for specific research projects. Somehow, I don’t think those companies or the federal government will be all that forgiving.

She agreed her office should keep clearer budget plans and records, as the audit recommended.

As for the auditor, here are some of the things she had to deal with from Janet Incompetano’s obstruction.

State Auditor Elaine Howle told lawmakers she faced an unprecedented lack of cooperation from Napolitano’s office while it was under audit. She detailed efforts by the office to edit responses from individual UC campuses to survey questions from auditors.

Napolitano’s office “inappropriately screened” the campuses’ responses and altered statements and ratings that were initially critical of the office, the audit said.

“We felt that the surveys didn’t reflect an independent voice from those campuses,” Howle told lawmakers at the hearing.

Just who did Incompetano think she was? Felonia von Pantsuit? Von Pantsuit might have bought extorted her way out of an indictment, but she is also known to have problems, “Handled” in rather permanent ways. Incompetano isn’t that good at coverups.

Napolitano said she coordinated with the individual campuses on their audit responses to ensure they were accurate.

“My team made the decision to work with our campuses to ensure they understood the purpose of the audit and the audit’s scope,” Napolitano said. “I am sorry that we did it this way because it has created the wrong impression and detracted from the important fact that we accept the recommendations in the audit report.”

In other words, “We needed to get our stories straight so we wouldn’t have to give back our money and possibly go to prison.” If anyone needs to see how she looks in orange, it’s Incompetano. Thanks to her greed and corruption, students were shafted with tuition increases.

The UC Board of Regents in January voted to increase in-state tuition and fees by $336 next academic year. Some lawmakers called for a reversal of the tuition hike in the wake of the audit.

Yeah, that won’t happen. Tuition hikes are like temporary taxes. They never go away.

Janet Napolitano is typical of Progressive Liberal Democrats. They know what’s best for people, all money belongs to them, and if anyone even thinks of questioning them, they are to be destroyed. However, misappropriating $175 million dollars should, at the very least, get Incompetano fired. If this had been a private company instead of a bastion of politically correct indoctrination, Incompatano would be looking at prison time. Since she’s one of the “Special people”, she will get to keep her job, and probably get a payraise.

***update***

I wrote this over the weekend due to lack of time during the week to write posts. I just read that the Attorney General for California is not going to go after Incompetano for what could be called misappropriation of funds. (A nice way of saying embezzlement)
