Good day all. Coming on the heels of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber’s remarks blaming the collapse of Obamacare on President Trump, Aetna has announced they will be pulling out of the Obamacare exchanges by 2018.
Since Obamacare kicked in, insurance companies, who originally saw this as a license to pillage the bank accounts of people, have found out that it’s impossible to actually break even, never mind making a profit. The reasons for this are many, but come down to several factors. Healthy people refusing to by the crap they call insurance, and all the mandates forced on the insurance companies that make no sense at all. Here are the details of Aetna’s bailing out from Fox Business:
Health insurance company Aetna (AET) announced Wednesday it will completely withdraw from the ObamaCare marketplace in 2018, a decision Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price perceived as a sign of continued instability in the health care sector under the Affordable Care Act.
“Aetna’s decision to completely withdraw from the ObamaCare exchanges adds to the mountain of evidence that ObamaCare has failed the American people. Repealing and replacing it with patient-centered solutions that stabilize the marketplace to bring down costs and increase choices is the only solution,” Price said late Wednesday.
I’m hopeful that the GOP(e) Congress will finally do what they promised and drive a stake through Obamacare, killing it once and for all. I’m not counting on it, considering what that worthless moron, Speaker of the House, Paul “Eddie Munster” Ryan tried to push through a month ago. That idiot basically tried to save Obamacare.
Now, with HHS Secretary Tom Price in charge, all the little games the Obama Regime played are being brought to a screeching halt. This includes a number of very questionable regulations and transfer payments to the Insurance companies. As of right now, Obamacare is on life support and Dr. Price is looking for the plug so he can pull it and let Obamacare die. I hope he also shoots it in the head and drives stake through it’s heart…Just to make sure of course.
