Good day all. Yesterday a special election was held in Montana to fill the seat of Ryan Zinke, who took a position with the Trump administration. Last night, Republican Greg Gianforte was declared the winner. This comes after he body slammed an obnoxious moonbat journalist the day before.
The Democrats poured huge amounts of resources into this election, making it a referendum on President Trump. After Representative-Elect Gianforte got tired of the Guardian’s Ben Jacobs stuffing a mike in his face, and after telling him to leave, threw him to the floor. Granted, this is assault and Representative-elect Gianforte was apologetic, the Democrats took this and ran with it. A fat lot of good it did them. The Democrat Candidate, Rob Quist, lost by 24,000 votes out of about 270,000 cast.
In his remarks after his crushing defeat of Rob Quist, Representative-Elect Gianforte said:
“When you make a mistake, you have to own up to it. That’s the Montana way. Last night I made a mistake, and I took an action that I can’t take back, and I’m not proud of what happened. I should not have responded in the way that I did, and for that I’m sorry. I should not have treated that reporter that way, and for that I am sorry Mr. Ben Jacobs.” (H/T Fox News)
Interestingly, the apology came after he won. I understand that a number of votes were cast early, long before this incident occurred. Voters questioned afterwards said that what happened didn’t affect their votes. Considering that most journalists are considered to be worth far less than the crap you scrape off your shoe after walking through a pasture, I’m going to question that, just a little.
In any case, the Democrats once again misread everything. They assumed that if they were able to win this election, they would have a “Mandate” to continue with their assaults on America. I’ve even seen a few Democrat propaganda organs, aka Major news outlets, predicting that the Democrats will generate a “Wave” election similar to what happened to them in 2010, in the 2018 mid-terms. Somehow I doubt that.
