Good day all. In this week’s episode of “Stupid Criminals of the Week” we have a few law breakers who were nice enough to save the taxpayers a significant amount of money. And how did they do this you ask?
They were nice enough to get themselves killed. No, this wasn’t a citizen or police officer pumping them full of lead. These idiots managed to crash their get away car into a pond and then drown. Here are the details from Fox News:
Three burglars died and a suspect escaped after their car crashed into a Georgia pond while on the run from police on Monday, (May 15th 2017).
75 percent? Not to shabby.
The police chase began after officers received a call about a burglary at a Sprint PCS store in Fayetteville around 4:30 a.m., Fox 5 Atlanta reported. When they arrived, they chased a car with four men that was leaving the scene. The police pursuit continued to Clayton County where the suspected burglars’ car struck another vehicle, went airborne and crashed into a pond, police said.
What? Was this a Hollywood movie or something? How the heck did they manage to go airborne after hitting another car? Usually, they just get sort of crunched
The car was submerged within 15 minutes.
“My officers immediately entered the vehicle and tried to get to the folks inside to render aid, but they were unsuccessful,” Deputy Clayton Police Chief Joseph Woodall told Fox 5 Atlanta.
I can see it now. “Oh crap! Now I’m going to get clothes wet and ruin my shoes. Hey! Go look in the trunk and see if I left my waders in there from my last fishing trip? Naah, don’t rush. Those morons aren’t going anywhere.”
Three of the men were identified as Mark Anthony Mathis, 19, Eddie Alford, 21, Devongelo Hunter, 19.
Correction. They have been identified as the Late Mark Anthony Mathis, the Late Eddie Alford and the Late Devongelo Hunter. Sheesh! Don’t these people have editors?
Police are still searching for the fourth suspected burglar who managed to escape.
Let me guess. This one actually had his seat belt on and the airbag went off, protecting him. Bummer.
The driver of the other vehicle struck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Well, that’s good to hear. I hope for a speedy recovery and a nice new car of his or her choice.
The four suspects had criminal records in the county, investigators said.
And why am I not surprised? Well, there are three less criminals for the system to deal with. Now, with a little luck, the fourth idiot will be found, and try for another Hollywood style escape, running over the roof tops, thinking he’s a master of Parkour. Then a little slip followed by a scream with a nice splat a few seconds later.
