ESPN beginning to get a clue?

Good day all. The cable sports network, ESPN, has rightly been hit for moving away from sports and into politics. It has gotten worse since President Trump was elected, with the various hosts ranting and raving about him and not talking about what they were hired to do, sports.

It’s gotten so bad that after the Charlottesville protests a couple of months ago, they pulled an announcer from the air because he happened to have the same name as Confederate General Robert E. Lee. What made this exceptionally stupid was the fact that Robert Lee is of Chinese decent.

All of the politically correct idiocies, along with the on air bleating from the assorted moonbats has hit ESPN right where it hurts, in the wallet. They’ve been losing subscribers. Recently, yet another one of their on air idiots let fly with an anti-Trump rant. This time, the management decided it had to do something or watch their revenue crater even more. They suspended the proglodyte moonbat, Jemele Hill for 2 weeks. Here are the details from Fox News:

Jemele Hill, the controversial ESPN anchor who called for fans to boycott the NFL after labeling President Trump a “white supremacist” on Twitter, has been suspended for two weeks by the network.

Hill violated the company’s social media guidelines a second time, according to ESPN, after she called on fans to take indirect action against the Dallas Cowboys after owner Jerry Jones told players they would be benched if they didn’t stand up during the national anthem.

Hill wasn’t formally punished for mocking Trump on Twitter, but ESPN took action when she called for fans to boycott the Cowboys’ advertisers.

Oh, I see. As long as this moonbat was barking at President Trump, they were just fine with it. However, she went after the people that pays the bills for ESPN, and they simply couldn’t allow that.

Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines. She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet. In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how much individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such action would have consequences. Hence this decision,” an ESPN spokesman said in a statement.

In response, Hill’s co-host on “SC6,” Michael Smith, chose to sit out Monday night’s broadcast, in a “mutual” decision with ESPN, The Wrap reported.

Of course, the real racists have chimed in regarding this dimbulb’s suspension.

Other supporters of Hill said they were outraged. Rev. Al Sharpton said the suspension “should NOT go unanswered. ESPN and advertisers will hear from us!”

So Al, have you paid your taxes yet? Then we have Rosie O’Donuts. It seems she was able to find time to pull her head out of the trough filled with Doritos to send along this tweet.

Rosie O’Donnell tweeted “We are with you,” adding the hashtag #systemicRACISM.

This all started when the owner of the Dallas Cowboys finally took a look at the receipts and decided it was time to pull his head out of his ass and put his foot down.

I know this, we cannot … in the NFL in any way give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag,” Jones said. “We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues, but there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. So we’re clear.”

This is a far cry from couple of weeks ago when Jones was standing arm in arm with the players who were showing their contempt for the nation that gave them everything. Of course, back then, the NFL’s fans hadn’t decided to walk away from the games and do other things. Funny how quickly an opinion can change when it hits you directly in the pocketbook, isn’t it? As for Hill, ESPN had this to say on her being paid while suspended.

ESPN declined comment regarding whether or not Hill will be paid during the suspension. The NFL declined comment when reached by Fox News.

I think we can safely assume that she’s still getting her paycheck. This isn’t the first time that Hill has inserted her foot deeply into her mouth. She has a long track record of accusing anyone who doesn’t toe her racial views of being a racist.

Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has surrounded himself with other white supremacists,” Hill wrote on Sept 11. She called him “the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime.” Hill also called Trump a “bigot,” and “unqualified and unfit to be president.” She even added: “If he were not white, he never would have been elected.”

The only reason I can’t think of that President Trump hasn’t sued her and ESPN for libel is the difficulty in proving the case. The courts long ago ruled that public figures had high bar to go over to win their case. Personally, I think it may be time to review this. Hill has no proof that President Donald Trump is a racist, or any of the other people working with him to Make America Great Again.

When Hill went over the top with her demands to boycott the NFL’s advertisers, she was called into management’s offices and read the riot act.

Hill eventually admitted that she cried over the situation in a meeting with ESPN President John Skipper, but didn’t exactly apologize to Trump or his supporters.

No, she wouldn’t. She is a typical Progressive Liberal hater. Anyone who disagrees with her beliefs is evil in what passes for her mind. I seriously doubt that she thinks she did anything wrong.

Barking Moonbat

“Since my tweets criticizing President Donald Trump exploded into a national story, the most difficult part for me has been watching ESPN become a punching bag and seeing a dumb narrative kept alive about the company’s political leanings,” Hill wrote.

Well, I see the twit hasn’t been paying all that much attention. People have been slamming ESPN for quite a while now over how their coverage has gone from sports and into politics.

It was the first time I had ever cried in a meeting. I didn’t cry because Skipper was mean or rude to me. I cried because I felt I had let him and my colleagues down,” Hill wrote in a commentary on the ESPN site The Undefeated.

No, she cried because reality smashed her in the face, and she’s being held responsible for her words and actions, probably for the first time in her life.

Hill was also suspended nearly a decade ago when she compared Boston Celtics fans to Nazis in a blog on ESPN’s website in 2008.

She should have been terminated right then and there. Instead, she got a slap on the wrist. This is the problem with the Progressive Left. They truly believe that they are above everyone else. This is why people like Harvey Winestain are able to get away with the things they do for so long.

The problem here is with the management of ESPN. They really need to put an end to all the political diatribes and get back to what they used to do so well. Cover sports, all sports in excruciatingly minute detail. Of course, that means the company that actually owns ESPN, Disney, will need to act. Considering who’s running Disney, I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Sold the Disney stock long time ago. Say, Disney, where’s all the profits from that “synergy” you looked for when you bought that turd of ABC/ESJWPN?
