And President Trump’s response? “Hold my beer and watch this!” Good day all. When President Trump announced that he was going to keep another campaign promise and move the United States Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, most of the world said “You can’t do that!”
A resolution in the United Nations General Assembly, was put forward telling the United States that they couldn’t do that. The reaction from President Trump and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has been priceless. Here are some of the details from The Independent:
In a humiliating blow for Donald Trump on the world stage, the United Nations General Assembly has voted by128 to nine to declare his controversial decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital “null and void”.
A few details here. The Independent is a British newspaper and would not be considered “Conservative” in the American definition of the word, by any stretch of the imagination. The editors do not like Donald Trump. From what I understand, (and I’ll let those in the UK confirm/deny this), the Independent would be happier with Felonia von Pantsuit running things.
Just days after the US used its veto power at the UN Security Council to block a similar measure, the General Assembly resoundingly condemned the America’s unilateral action, which most observers said would hamper efforts to secure peace in the Middle East.
And to that I, and most people would ask, “What Peace Process?”
While the vote has little practical impact – it is not legally binding – it is a considerable embarrassment for the US as it reflects global opinion.
And here we see the typical Eurotrash mindset regarding the concern Americans generally have for the rest of the world and their opinions. They actually think we give a damn. In general, when Europe frowns at America and what we’re doing, the average American’s response can be summed up thusly:
As the US licked its wounds,Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesman Nabil Abu Rdainah seized on what he said was a “victory for Palestine”.
“We will continue our efforts in the United Nations and at all international forums to put an end to this occupation, and to establish our Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” Mr Rdainah said.
When these moves to interfere with American sovereignty began, first with the security council and later, with this resolution in the General Assembly, the Progressives and Globalists thought, “Well, this will put Trump in his place!” It’s not working out that way. The Eurotrash Globalist Progressives haven’t figured out yet that President Trump is NOT one of them, and that was one of the reasons he was elected. When the UN started with these resolutions, President Trump responded through Ambassador Haley, that we might just reconsider the money we send to these kleptocrats. Here are a few details from Fox News:
President Trump’s not-so-subtle threat to remember which nations voted to condemn his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was the ultimate case of speaking truth to power. The largest – by far – donor to the United Nations, and a provider of foreign aid to dozens of other U.N. member states, America holds a unique, though decidedly not privileged position in the so-called world body.
Yet for decades, it has been stymied by its rivals (China and Russia), by rogue regimes (Iran), and by a U.N. leadership that views America as a source of demonic, not democratic values.
And finally, we have a president who puts America first. He told the United Nations that we would remember who are friends are and deal with those who’s only goal is lifting the American taxpayer’s wallet.

When Ambassador Nikki Haley said the U.S. would be “taking names,” and Trump said “we’ll be watching,” liberal news outlets reacted as if a Mafia chieftain had just set the price for a kidnapping victim’s release.
The basic attitude of the Kleptocrats in the UN is “Just shut up and give us more money.” For to long we’ve had one president after another who basically bent over, dropped his pants and let these third world criminals sodomize us. This is why most of the General Assembly thought that things would remain as is. However, we have some countries who showed that they are friends of America, and by extension, Israel.
We know our friends. Guatemala, Honduras, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and Togo joined the U.S. voting against the resolution of condemnation. Another 35 countries, including our closest neighbors, Mexico and Canada, as well as Argentina, Australia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania, abstained.
Those who abstained were literally between a rock and a hard place. However, President Trump understood this and is willing to discuss things with them, quietly. As for the other countries? The ones who didn’t stand with us?
And now we know who cannot depend on. Egypt, to whom we provide $1.6 billion in aid each year, voted against the U.S. Turkey, which gets $155 million, went against us, with its president Recep Tayyip Erdogan boldly declaring, “What is the cradle of democracy doing? They are looking for people they can buy with their dollars.” Fine, Mr. President, fine.
And our response to Erdogan is going to be simple and straight to the point with all the subtlety Americans are noted for.

Now the boom is being lowered. The United Nations is about to be hit right where it hurts, in their wallets. Ambassador Haley has announced that the United States is going to cut our contribution, “Significantly.”
Calling it “a big step in the right direction,” U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley on Sunday night announced a historic reduction in the U.N. biennial operating budget. Haley said the plan calls for a $285 million cut for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known,” Haley said. “We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.”
To get an idea of how annoyed the United States is with the United Nations, the original plan was to request, (Which would have been ignored), a $250 million dollar cut. I suspect this is just the first step in dealing with those who think America is a soft touch. As for the nations that backed the United States? Guatemala is standing shoulder to shoulder with the United States. According to the BBC:
Guatemala says it plans to move the country’s embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, following a similar announcement from Donald Trump. Guatemala’s president, Jimmy Morales, said the decision was taken after speaking to the Israeli PM. It was one of only nine nations to vote against a UN resolution effectively repudiating the US’ recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
And the United States will remember this. We’ve, in the past, done some seriously stupid things in Central and South America. Hopefully, and I think Guatemala’s decision shows this, we’ve learned from our mistakes and now show these countries the respect they deserve. Unlike the last Administration, which didn’t learn and tried to screw over Guatemala, President Trump doesn’t treat others as inferiors. I expect a few phone calls are going back and forth Between President Trump and President Morales.
Mr Morales made the announcement on Facebook. Noting the “excellent relations” between Guatemala and Israel, he said “one of the most important topics was the return of Guatemala’s embassy to Jerusalem”.
“For this reason I am informing you that I have given instructions to the foreign ministry that it start the necessary respective coordination to make this happen,” he added. He did not say when the move would happen.
I think we’re going to be seeing some good business deals coming down the pike between the United States, Guatemala and Israel in the next few years. I also expect a few countries that have regularly shafted the United States are going to get the political equivalent of a baseball bat to the back of the head.
As for the United Nations? It’s long past time to boot them out of New York, and honestly, time for the United States to walk away from them. The reasons for the UN are long past. They served a purpose when the United States and the old Soviet Union were at each others throats. They helped keep both sides from blowing up the planet by allowing a forum for us to yell at each other.
Now? The USSR is gone, the threat of world nuclear annihilation has passed. The threats we face now are rogue states run by lunatics who are crazy enough to nuke a few cities, thinking they will get away with it. (North Korea, Iran, etc) The United Nations, rather then working to shut these nuts down, embraces them. America has had enough and we have a president who agrees with the people who put him in office, much to the consternation of the Beltway Uniparty and the Mostly Stupid Media. Things are changing and America is becoming Great again.
