Good day all. We have more Royal news from Great Britain. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now husband and wife. Frankly, I could not care less. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Mostly Stupid Media.
Now I’m not one to begrudge Harry and Meghan a lifetime of happily wedded bliss. In fact I wish them the best, as a normal individual. As an American, my response to all this is, “Who cares?” All I’ve seen this morning is non-stop “Royal Wedding” and honestly, I have far better things to concentrate on then the goings on of a formally great nation.
I’ve seen some of the coverage of things the Mostly Stupid Media considers important, such as whether or not Ms. Markle’s father was going to attend or not. I understand he had some sort of medical emergency recently and I would have been surprised of he made over the pond to Jolly Olde England. Then there’s been all the stuff on Meghan Markle’s past. She was married once before. Well guess what? So have lots of other people. Get over it! She’s also a television and film actress, or was until recently. She concluded her run on the USA Network and announced she was retiring from acting. Well, it’s not like she’s going to be hurting for funds.
Now, she is a member of the British Royal Family, and she has one primary duty to perform. Get pregnant. She will be expected to do her duty to the crown and produce “An heir and a spare” as soon as possible. Well Meghan, time to toss the birth control pills into the rubbish skip. (That’s British for trash can) Granted, Prince Harry is way down the line of succession now. His brother and then his three kids come first, second, third and fourth. (I think that’s how it works. I’m an American and not only don’t know, I don’t care either. We won and they lost) Sadly, when she pops out hers in a year or two, I’m probably going to have to post this picture YET AGAIN!
So, instead of paying any further attention to this, I’m going to go do something useful. Binge watch the last 5 years of the Agents of Shield. (Nice season’s finale last night. It was written as a probable series finale and it works. The good news is they are coming back for a 6th season. The bad news? It’s only 13 episodes, it won’t be until next summer and it will be the last one)
