Good day all. It is the day before Christmas and all through the home, everyone is stirring, including the rats in the House. (Of Representatives).
While my company has today scheduled as a normal work day, I had long ago arranged to take it off. Tomorrow, Christmas Day, the office is closed, except for me. I have to work since our company provides 24/7/365 coverage for our clients.
I’m not complaining to much. I’m getting two extra days off. However, when we did our scheduling for the next quarter, I ended up having to pull at least two 12 hour shifts due to the Tet holiday in Vietnam. Our office there will close down. Since I’m doing even more extra shifts, I’ve been given three additional days off.
My family is having their traditional Christmas Eve gathering tonight, which works out great for me. If I had to work today, and considering the schedule of family events, I would have had to give it a pass this year. I simply wouldn’t get there in time to join in.
As for the things we can give thanks to, this is the second Christmas that Felonia von Pantsuit is not the president of the United States.
Felonia was horrible enough as the First Lady back in the 90’s. Today, we have one of the best First Ladies in decades.
I believe I asked the question last year, but it bears asking again. Who is the better First Lady?
