Good day all. The Progressive mantra regarding President Trump and Immigrants is that he hates them all and that he is a racist. Then comes out a story like this which blows their mini moonbat minds.
People who have come to America lawfully and being approved for citizenship has reached a 5 year high under President Trump. Here are the details from the Washington Times:
Homeland Security reached a five-year high in approvals of citizenship applications last year, and swore in more people as naturalized citizens as well, according to the new statistical report released Friday night.
Those numbers contradict the criticisms of congressional Democrats who had complained about backlogs building at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Homeland Security branch that handles legal immigration.
Well, there is some truth to that backlog problem. The Angry Girlfriend, (Formally the Wife), has been waiting on her the renewal of her green card for almost a year now. The extension she received is coming up on it’s expiration and we haven’t been able to schedule an infopass appointment.
The new report also suggests that far from a crackdown, the government is processing more asylum-seeker petitions than any of the last four years. That included a 61 percent increase from 2017 to 2018 in affirmative asylum applications — though refugee interviews are down from more than 1250,000 in 2016, the last year under President Barack Obama, to just 26,400 in fiscal year 2018 under President Trump.
Of course, a lot of those asylum requests, after being processed, come back with the answer “Denied” on them. Why? Because the people claiming asylum are not in any danger if shipped back to the Third World hellhole they came from. The number of asylum claims exploded when the Open borders types figured out it would be a great way to get more future Democrats into the country.
USCIS’s workload has become contentious in recent years, with immigrant-rights groups accusing the Trump administration of building a bureaucratic “wall” to deny people the chance to enter the U.S. legally. The accusation is a play on their disdain for Mr. Trump’s border wall intended to stop illegal immigration.
These so called “Immigrant Rights” groups could not care less about immigrants. If you take a poll, an overwhelming majority of Americans have no problem with legal immigration. Oh they might quibble over some of the details, but as long as the immigrant obeyed the laws, went through the process and is looking to assimilate to the best of their abilities, the basic response is “Hi! Come on in!”
What these “Immigrant Rights” groups want is unfettered open borders. As far as they’re concerned, America has a duty to support the rest of the Third world because we’re “Imperialists, Capitalists, white, and to blame for everything.” In other words, they hate the United States of America and want it ended. This is the other side of the immigration coin. Most Americans, and lawful resident aliens, despise those who jump the border and ignore the law.
Hispanic Democrats in Congress say things are so bad that they requested — and have been granted — an investigation to be done by the Government Accountability Office. Rep. Joaquin Castro, chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, said the case backlog is an example of “President Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda.”
No it isn’t stupid. President Trump has an anti-ILLEGAL ALIEN agenda. There is a difference, but since you’re just another treasonous, racist, totalitarian CommuNazi, you will just lie through your teeth to get what you want.
Yet the backlog in citizenship applications, for example, exploded during the end of the Obama administration. The Washington Times, which tracked the explosion at the time, sought comment from immigrant-rights activists and lawmakers, including Democrats, but didn’t find many who blamed the Obama administration for the slow processing.
Of course they don’t. This was the Sainted Barack Hussein Obama! He could do no wrong! He was the most perfect president EVER! Only the Sainted Felonia von Pantsuit might have surpassed him! It wasn’t his fault, it was the fault of those racist Trump supporting deplorables and Tea Party scum!
The new numbers from USCIS also detail some of the more hidden parts of the agency’s work, such as its efforts to weed out fraud in legal immigration applications. Experts say fraud is rampant, but the agency has not released any major fraud assessments in years.
Still, the Fraud Detection and National Security division reported 149,3000 investigative leads or actions year — a 14 percent increase over 2017. That included 30,400 tips of fraud, 7,600 national security matters and nearly 17,000 public safety matters.
Investigating immigration fraud is something that, unless it was pretty blatant, was ignored by both Obama and Bush. Now we’re really looking into it, and hopefully, there will be a few prosecutions. We already have a Massachusetts judge going on trial soon for aiding illegal immigration. (She’s in absolute denial that she did anything wrong or that she might get convicted)
While President Trump hasn’t been allowed to keep all his promises, he has done a fair job in cracking down. There is a long way to go of course. Meanwhile, to all of you people who legally immigrated to the United States and have become America’s newest citizens? Welcome and congratulations!
