Good day all. Since President Trump announced he was running for president, one of his messages was securing the borders, getting rid of illegal aliens and fixing the mess that is the Immigration system.
As we all know, as much as President Trump has accomplished on this front, he has been thwarted repeatedly by the Deep State, the Chamber of Commerce RINO’s and any number of Obama judges. However, he hasn’t given up and continues to do the best he can with the tools he has. Now, a liberal “Think Tank” has determined that President Trump Law and Order immigration message is winning. Here are the details from Fox News:
A top liberal think tank has warned that President Trump’s immigration message is actually winning among most voters and makes Democrats appear weak on enforcement.
The Democrats don’t appear to be weak on Immigration enforcement, they ARE weak on it. The message from their presidential candidates is perfectly clear. Open borders and free stuff to all the criminals at the expense of Americans and legal resident aliens.
The Center for American Progress has released a new report arguing that as Democrats drifted away from the “rule of law” message, it allowed Republicans to rebrand their party as the sole party of rule of law.
When you considered the actions of the Democrats over the last 3 years, you can see why. The Democrats have been trying to overthrow the 2016 election results, they have been backing the Antifa thugs, who are just shy of being named a domestic terrorist group, and have been caught abusing the civil rights of anyone who wasn’t a progressive liberal moonbat.
This created “the false dichotomy of America as either a nation of immigrants or a nation of laws” that then makes Democrats seem weak on enforcing the nation’s laws, according to the Daily Beast that first obtained the report.
The Daily Beast, as usual, gets it partly right and misses the big picture. Americans aren’t opposed to immigration. They are opposed to ILLEGAL immigration. Progressives and the media catchfarts can’t seem to understand that there is a difference.
Tom Jawetz, vice president of immigration policy at the think tank, added that those supporting humane immigration policy “have ceded powerful rhetorical ground to immigration restrictionists, who are happy to masquerade as the sole defenders of America as a nation of laws.”
As you can see, the Progressives consider preventing illegal aliens from entering the United States and booting ones already hear out, to be “Restrictionist.” (That appears to be a word made up by Liberals)
The paper coincides with Trump’s renewed calls to reform immigration laws, arguing that they don’t stop the problem of illegal immigration and have significant loopholes.
As one who has dealt with the United States Customs and Immigration Service, I can safely say that our current legal immigration structure is a flaming disaster. I dealt with the Immigration Service when the former Mrs. Webmaster immigrated, lawfully, into the United States. The former Mrs. Webmaster, (Now the Angry Girlfriend), just got her green card renewed for another 10 years. It took a year to process something that shouldn’t have taken more than a month.
“We’ve got to straighten out our immigration laws,” Trump said during a rally in North Carolina last week. “You know, in a very short period of time, if the Democrats would give us a few votes, we could solve the immigration problem and it would be so great.”
Why would the Democrats want to fix this mess? They created it in the first place. We can thank the happily dead Senator Edward Moore “Fat Boy” Kennedy for the current mess we call our immigration laws.
Democratic 2020 presidential candidates, meanwhile, have been struggling to find an effective message that counter Trump’s rhetoric and without appearing as embracing extreme policies.
To late! First we have the current crop of crapheads running for the Democrat Party nomination saying things like free healthcare for illegals, paid for by taxes on Americans and Lawful Resident Aliens, Abolishing the Border Control system, along with amnesty and instant citizenship. (Provided they vote only for Democrats of course)
But according to the report, radical proposals such as nationwide amnesty or the abolition of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) only “fuels louder calls for maximum enforcement, which then strengthen calls for abolition, ad infinitum.
Scores of candidates, including Sens. Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders, have backed the proposal to decriminalize illegal border crossings and no longer treat the crime as a criminal matter.
Some Democrats running for president also gave credence to the far-left movement to abolish the federal immigration authorities, though many early supporters of the movement such as Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has since toned down the issue.
They have toned it down because they are getting an earful from people that haven’t been carefully selected by their handlers to reflect the progressive world. Of course, for Kirsten Gillibrand, it really doesn’t matter where she stands on the issue. Her major problem right now is “Kirsten who?”
The simple fact of the matter is, the borders need to be locked down as a first step to fixing the immigration system. The Democrats not only don’t want to fix the problem, they are on record as perfectly happy to make things even worse. Even with the willing help of the catchfarts in the media, they are starting to see major problems on the horizon. As good citizens, we should do everything we can to send their campaigns right into the dumpster on election day in 2020.
