AOC’s latest “Brilliant” idea, abolish prisons

Good day all. Alexandria Occasional-Cortex is a font of idiocy, stupidity and incompetence. She is constantly coming out with one bad idea after another. Her latest idea? Abolish prisons!

Instead of locking up criminals, she wants to institute “Just alternatives” instead. What those are, is anyone’s guess. Here are the details from Fox News:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., defended her call for potential “prison abolition” as part of broader restructuring of the criminal justice system, in a series of tweets Monday.

“Mass incarceration is our American reality. It is a system whose logic evolved from the same lineage as Jim Crow, American apartheid, & slavery,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in reaction to a tweet from comedian Chelsea Handler. “To end it, we have to change. That means we need to have a real conversation about decarceration & prison abolition in this country.”

Occasional-Cortex has obviously, never gone to some of the prisons we have. Granted, there are people there who might be dealt with in a different manner, but most of them? Well, to quote the late comedian Richard Pryor after he visited a prison, “Thank God for penitentiary’s!”

The Democrat recalled a conversation she had with a woman who was “thrown into Rikers [Island] as a teenager” and was “put in solitary confinement for months,” which she called “torture.”

“The conditions were so bad, she too had drank out of toilets,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “A cage is a cage is a cage. And humans don’t belong in them.”

And here we go again with her favorite theme, “drinking out of toilets.” She’s already been shown to be flat out wrong once on this, I guess she’s looking for another chance to be proven a blithering idiot.

Later in the day, Ocasio-Cortez defended her use of the term “prison abolition,” pointing to statistics that showed the U.S. “incarcerates more than anywhere in the world.”

We lock people up because…THEY’RE CONVICTED CRIMINALS!!!

“I know the term ‘prison abolition’ is breaking some people’s brains. The right is already freaking out,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted to start a thread. “Yet the US incarcerates more than anywhere in the world. We have more than enough room to close many of our prisons and explore just alternatives to incarceration.”

Dim bulb might also note that in general, crime has also gone down in the United States. Why? Because WE LOCK UP CRIMINALS!!

“First of all, many people in jailed or in prison don’t belong there at all. Whether it’s punitive sentencing for marijuana possession or jailing people for their poverty & letting the rich free through systems like cash bail, we wrongly incarcerate far, far too many people.

I’m not disagreeing that we need to look at our laws, and that there are some people who are not an actual danger to the public and might be able to reform themselves. However, most of these scum have rather lengthy criminal pasts, including rape and murder.

“Secondly, our prison & jail system is so large bc we use them as de facto mental hospitals, homeless shelters, & detox centers instead of *actually* investing in… mental health, housing, edu, & rehab. If we invested meaningfully, what do you think would happen to crime?”

What color is the sky on the planet she’s on? We used to have mental institutions. They had problems, some of them serious. Instead of reforming and cleaning them up, they were shut down and the mentally ill tossed onto the street. Many of these people can be helped with proper medication, but if they don’t take it?

As for education, many of the lifers manage to get doctorates in various disciplines. However, they only get them because they are bored. It’s not like they’re actually going to be able to use those degrees. As for other forms of education? Well, the first stop is a major overhaul of the public school systems. However, Occasional-Cortex won’t like my idea. It involves actually teaching things like math, history, and how to be a good citizen.

She continued: “Lastly, people tend to say ‘what do you do with all the violent people?’ as a defense for incarcerating millions. Our lawmaking process means we come to solutions together, & either way we should work to an end where our prison system is dramatically smaller than it is today.”

I have several very simple solutions. For starters, we need to start ramping up executions. None of this lethal injection stuff either. Go for the most efficient means to execute the criminals. First, all the murderers. Hang them, or gas them. (I suggest nitrogen gas. Clean, cheap, safe and best of all, environmentally friendly!)

Once the murderers are dead, we move down to the next level. Rapists. Here we need to be very careful. There are men in prison who are innocent of the crime they were convicted of. Basically, their “Victims” lied, and we also have prosecutors who were happy to railroad them into prison.

I think that prior to their executions, they be subjected to intense chemical interrogation. This would not be admissible in court, however, they’ve already been convicted, and this means would be used to confirm their guilt.

If something pops up that raises any questions? A stay pending further review, including looking deeply into the accuser/victim. If it is determined tat the convicted person is innocent and that the accuser made it all up, she gets the noose instead. Women who lie about that do great harm not only to the men they accuse falsely, but to women who are actual victims of this horrendous crime.

Next, child molesters. For them, how about crucifixion? Don’t waste time nailing them to a cross, simply tie them up to it, then just leave them in the sun. Or, if you want to save time, pit them in the general population and announce that if something happens to this scumbag, we won’t look to hard at what happened. People do slip in the shower or fall down stairs.

In short order, we would reduce the population of our prisons, and since the criminals who cause most of the crimes are turned into worm food, the crimes they would have committed never happen, and the crime rate drops even further? So, what do you have to say to that Representative Alexandria Occasional-Cortex? Don’t imprison hardened criminals, just execute them.
