Good day all. As we enter the 8th month of the Great Panicdemic of 2020, the screeches of the Paranoid Hypochondriacs and the morons on the left grow more intense. They continue to insist that the China Virus is going to “End all of Humanity!”

They continually demand that every American be locked up “For their own good.” The problem with this is that the American people have had enough and are demanding that the lockdown end. The “Or else” part is just now starting to come out. Since the left is starting to lose the narrative, they are resorting to their traditional “Make stuff up and frighten the sheep” technique. In this case we have someone who made up a person who died of the China Virus. Here are the details from the New York Post:
An Arizona State University professor who posted on Twitter for years about social justice issues and recently detailed her fight with COVID-19 was said to have died last week — but she actually never existed.

BethAnn McLaughlin — who announced the made-up professor’s death on July 31 — admitted to The New York Times on Tuesday that she was behind the hoax.
“I take full responsibility for my involvement in creating the @sciencing_bi Twitter account,” she said in a statement through her lawyer.
“My actions are inexcusable. I apologize without reservation to all the people I hurt.”

Since 2016, the anonymous account @Sciencing_Bi had posted frequently about sexual harassment and diversity in science, making connections with other academics online. The account claimed to be an anthropology professor who had grown up in Alabama and “fled the south because of their oppression of queer folk,” according to the Times.
What is it with Liberals and their inability to differentiate the truth and a flat out lie? The levels of delusion they generate make one question their very sanity.
It also made pointed references to being Native American and began to identify as Hopi earlier this year.
Oh she covered all the bases. Of course, unlike Senator Elizabeth “Fauxahontas” Warren, she didn’t make the claim that SHE was an American Indian of the Hopi tribe. Then the real reason for the fake account came out. The liar was looking for tenure.
And it was active in the career of McLaughlin, a neuroscientist, even promoting a petition for her to receive tenure Vanderbilt University, which was ultimately unsuccessful.
And it looks like this was when BethAnn McLaughlin made the decision to murder her “Friend” in cold, fake, blood.
In April, @Sciencing_Bi announced its coronavirus diagnosis and then documented the symptoms including a loss of language fluency, according to Buzzfeed News.
Then McLaughlin really started throwing the manure around.
The account blamed ASU for her condition, tweeting in June that the school “forced me to teach 200 person lectures instead of closing” in April. She also claimed the university cut her salary by 15 percent while she was in the hospital.
And then came the death notice.
Then, a seemingly distraught McLaughlin wrote in a lengthy, mournful Twitter thread on Friday that the anonymous professor had died.
“Looking at her side of the bed and crying. Just a lot of crying. I literally can do nothing,” she wrote.
It was around this time that the entire thing started to unravel. I’ve been reading through the Buzzfeed article, and there were a number of people who fell for her lies, but not for long. At first there was outrage that the University had forced a sick teacher to work.
The supposed death spurred outrage from others in academia, with a professor saying: “This person was a scientist who got Covid because they’d been forced to teach.”
“@Sciencing_Bi is a Native American anthropology professor who first contracted #COVID19 April 11, likely from her college forcing her to teach well after the virus had established itself at her college,” another person posted on Facebook.
The whole thing started falling apart within days of the fake death announcement. People started digging into the account, especially Arizona State University, since this is where the person was supposed to have been working. Within days, the whole thing fell apart and Twitter killed both the fake account and McLaughlin’s own account. ASU also came back and reported that McLaughlin had a long history of not being entirely at one with the truth.
The same day, (When Twitter killed the acounts), an ASU spokesperson, described the anonymous account as a hoax, saying it had posted bogus information about the school, which closed its campus in March and did not implement salary cuts.
“We also have had no one, such as a family member or friend, report a death to anyone at the university,” a statement said.
What’s really entertaining was the outrage from the Ivory Tower types who had the wool pulled over their eyes, down to their feet and then tied tightly around their ankles. In quotes to Buzzfeed:
“This faking being Native has a long history of being tied to the actual theft of resources and land,” Kim TallBear of the University of Alberta in Canada, who studies the engagement of Indigenous people with science and technology, told BuzzFeed News. “The fact that this woman thought she could get away with this tells you how little she understands about the actual state of affairs for Native people in the United States.”
“I am disgusted that anyone would take advantage of persistent sexism, racism, homophobia, the genocide of Indigenous peoples, and COVID fears for their own personal gain,” Jacquelyn Gill, a paleoecologist at the University of Maine, told BuzzFeed News. “This is a person that did harm to very real movements and people.”
There is no one more entertaining then a moonbat who has been taken to the proverbial cleaners by another moonbat. What’s worse, from their “inside the bubble” world view she made them look bad, and that is unforgivable. Of course, for the rest of us, we find it very entertaining.
Now, as I put this post together I did a little digging regarding the liar. I didn’t dig to hard because I’m emulating a professional journalist. (I used Wikipedia because, lazy fake journalist) It seems that BethAnn McLaughlin is a real piece of work. Like all the useless trolls who can’t make it in the Dreaded Private Sector, McLaughlin was trying to get tenure somewhere.
Now for those who don’t know, Tenure is something that the “Education Sector,” primarily colleges and universities, give to teachers. Someone who is tenured is almost impossible to get rid of, which is why you have so many barking moonbats pretending to teach in universities. Once you gain tenure, you basically have to kill someone to get fired. (And even that might not do it)
According to Wikipedia, McLaughlin was trying to get tenured at Vanderbilt University. However, she seems to be a really nasty person and was going after people online and making threats.
McLaughlin applied for tenure in 2015, but Vanderbilt delayed a decision on her application for two years while a disciplinary investigation was conducted.[3] The disciplinary investigation was based on accusations that McLaughlin was sending derogatory tweets to colleagues, from anonymous, multiuser Twitter accounts. She admitted to sending threats to colleagues, though does not recall if the specific threats of stabbing a colleague were specifically authored by her. She was denied tenure at Vanderbilt in 2017. She appealed the decision by filing a grievance with the university, and started a petition garnering social media support for her tenure. However, in 2019 the decision was upheld, and she left the university in July of 2019.
Even Progressive Universities have SOME standards it seems. (Not many, but some) She then started some sort of foundation to pay her bills called the MeTooStem. Well, thanks to her typical progressive arrogance, she’s “Stepping away from all activities” with the organization. In other words, she’s toxic to whatever their goals are, (Probably screwing over regular people), and she’s being forced out. Well dimbulb, it looks like you’ve leanred another lesson in life. What goes around, comes around.
