Good day all. We are seeing gas prices starting to climb back up again, just in time for the midterm election in a couple of weeks. In my area, the prices jumped more than $.50/gallon. However, there is another issue and that’s diesel fuel. This is what all the trucks that move goods, food and fuel around run on. The price for diesel is almost twice that of regular gas. Now it looks like we’re flat running out of that needed commodity.
Diesel fuel is used in engines that generate a lot of power, but aren’t needed for high speed. They tend to be more fuel efficient then gas engines, but they also are a bit “dirtier” then gas engines. Still, this is what all the “Big Rigs” use. The problem is that are supplies are now at a dangerously low state. Here are the details from PJ Media:
Oil prices and President Joe Biden’s continued draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have dominated the headlines over the past few weeks, but analysts say a more impactful and serious crisis on the energy front looms: a diesel fuel shortage.
Diesel doesn’t get as much of the limelight as oil and gas, but it should because diesel fuel is the industrial lifeblood of the United States, and the price of diesel alone probably has a more significant impact on inflation and the prices you’re paying at the grocery store over any other factor. Without ample amounts of diesel, semi-trucks don’t move, farms are shut down, and critical manufacturing sectors are crippled.
This is yet another supply chain mess from the most incompetent administration in American history. Now that we’re entering the winter, another issue we have is snow, and the removal thereof from the roads. Snow plows are generally mounted on dump trucks used to both clear the streets and put salt and other ice melts down. No diesel fuel and those trucks don’t move. Of course, the tankers that deliver gas to the stations also run on diesel, so that means cars won’t be going anywhere either.
As Bloomberg noted this week, “The US has just 25 days of diesel supply, the lowest since 2008, according to the Energy Information Administration. At the same time, the four-week rolling average of distillates supplied, a proxy for demand, rose to its highest seasonal level since 2007.”
You would think that the maladministration, which has been gutting our energy sector, would take notice. You would be wrong.
The Biden administration has remained strangely silent, probably hoping that the dismal news doesn’t hit the mainstream because it’s a total political time bomb waiting to go off, especially as the midterm elections are so close.
I suspect they’re hoping that no one will notice until after the midterms. If people see this beforehand, even more Democrats will lose their seats as people realize that things are going to get a lot worse. According to Bloomberg per PJ Media:
The diesel crunch comes just weeks ahead of the midterm elections and has the potential to drive up prices for consumers who already view inflation and the economy as a top voting issue. Retail prices have been steadily climbing for more than two weeks. At $5.324 a gallon, they’re 50% higher than this time last year, according to AAA data.
There was a time when diesel fuel was a lot cheaper then regular gas. Then came “The Government” in it’s guise of the Environmental Protection Racket Agency. Their regulations made diesel more expensive then gasoline and caused a concurrent increase in costs to the consumer…not that those morons give a damn.
Notably, National Economic Council Director Brian Deese recently commented on the emerging crisis. Deese said diesel inventories are “unacceptably low” and added that “all options are on the table,” whatever that means.
Aside from that remark, the White House has done little to nothing about the issue — an issue that could further cripple confidence in the ability of Democrats to lead America through tough times, as they’ve already proven on many occasions over the past two years.
Lead us through the tough times? They frakking CAUSED them in the first place! The only real leader we’ve had in the last 15 years was the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. If he were still in office, we wouldn’t be in this situation now.
Diesel has also been described as the nation’s “inflation canary,” given that it’s so critically important for everything we need to survive. The bottom line is that without ample supplies and record-high prices for what’s left, Americans will get financially hammered over the winter and into 2023.
If you think inflation is bad now, get ready for 15-20% next year, unless the new Congress is able to remove Dementia Joe and Heels Up Harris. (She’s just as stupid as Biden) You can also expect shortages of everything, including food and medicine. We could actually see rationing come into play. Folks, it’s probably going to get really bad out there. The scary part is that the Biden administration doesn’t seem to give a rip. How bad is this situation truly? Let’s put the pieces together.
We have a historically low supply of diesel fuel, which powers everything that allows us to eat, drink, and live our daily lives. Because of the diminished supply under Biden, we have surging prices, making the cost of hauling goods, farming, and everything else that requires diesel fuel (pretty much everything) higher than ever before, which will cause prices of everything we use and need to increase in the coming months significantly.
Up here in the Northeast, we’re expecting an extremely cold winter. If this is the case, I can see people having to abandon their homes because they won’t have any means to heat them. Up here, many people heat with oil, which is close to diesel fuel in makeup. Older homes might have fireplaces and wood stoves, but if people haven’t laid in a supply of wood, they will also be in trouble.
I’d say that it’s unbelievable that the Biden administration has let the problem get so bad as to be a potentially crippling crisis for America in the coming months, but it’s not. In fact, it’s quite believable, and it lines up with other jaw-droppingly stupid decisions made by the current White House that many now believe are so bad that they are likely intentional, for whatever sinister reasons.
I suspect it’s all part of the Communists in Congress and the maladministration plan to push the “Green New Deal” down everyone’s throats. We can expect “Emergency measures” being declared that will make the crap from the Great Panicdemic of 2020 look tame. I don’t think these elitist left wing morons understand what causes revolutions. It’s hunger, and in the cold areas of the country, freezing to death. This could, if things go really wrong, make the January 6th protests, heck it would make the BLM and Antifa city burning riots look tame. Bidan, Harris and the whole cabal need to be removed from offices by any and all lawful means.
