Good day all. With Joe Biden looking less and less likely to survive in office until 2024, let alone run for reelection, there are some Democrats coming out of the slime pits and looking around to see if they should run for the job. One of these is Joe Manchin.
Joe Manchin has been the Democrat Senator for the Deep Red Ultra MAGA state of West Virginia since 2010 after filling out the term of the late senator and Senior Democrat Klansman and Grand Dragon of the KKK, Robert C. Byrd. He has managed to con his constituents into thinking he actually cared about them. That has pretty much come to an end now and he’s seen more as a backstabbing, two timing swamp dwelling weasel. It’s unlikely he will win a third term in 2024. His answer to the inevitable defeat? He’s thinking of running for president. Here are the amusing details from the Post Millennial:
Democratic West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin appeared on Sunday’s episode of Meet the Press and told host Chuck Todd “everything’s on the table” for his political future, including a possible run for president.
Todd asked, “So everything on the table, there’s basically only one other thing: the presidency. Is that something you would do outside the Democratic Party?” Manchin replied, “The only thing I can tell you is what I will do is whatever I can when I make my decision, what I think is the best, that I can support and represent the people of West Virginia, but also be true to this country and the constitution of this country”
Manchin’s poll numbers have been cratering since he sold out everyone in West Virginia after voting in favor of the Biden $2 trillion dollar giveaway of taxpayer’s money to all the unions, illegal aliens and others. The odds of Manchin winning a third term are slim and none, and slim appears to have left town.
Manchin said he wasn’t saying “no” and the “bottom line” was “I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that when I make my decision I make it based on what’s best, what I think I can do, to support, and best for my country and my state.”
Allow me to translate this. Manchin will do what is best for himself, his bank account and his family’s bank accounts. As for the rest of the people?
Manchin might think he has a shot at the Nomination, but he has about as much chance in the Primaries as that cackling c**t, Kamala Heels Up Harris did in 2020. None. Manchin’s betrayals, if he lasted long enough in the 2024 primaries, would have him lose his own state. The only reason he’s even talking about running for President is that he sees the writing on the wall. He is in his last term as Senator.
He is going to face a primary challenger from the left, and if he manages to win the primary, it’s almost certain the Republican candidate, whoever that may be, will be sworn into office in 2025. Manchin needs to start working on his concession speeches and figuring out what he is going to do for work. Thanks to his president, he won’t be able to learn how to shove coal.
