Good day all. Recently, Kim Gardner, the Circuit Attorney for St. Louis Missouri was informed that she would have to stand trial regarding the complaint filed by the Missouri Attorney General. Now yet another shoe has dropped. Two more prosecutors have thrown in the towel and have resigned from the Circuit Attorney’s office.
Gardner was recently informed that she would be standing trial regarding charges brought by the Attorney general of the State of Missouri on, well being a complete incompetent. She has been botching cases since day one of her reign of error, and the turnover in her office is over 100%. She has also facing an “Indirect Contempt” charge. Now two more prosecutors, who also happened to be looking at contempt charges, have resigned. Here are the details from Fox2 Now:
Two assistant prosecutors in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office have resigned after being summoned for contempt of court hearings, along with their boss, Kim Gardner. Attorney Chris Desilets’ resignation is effective immediately. On April 27, Judge Michael Noble scheduled “indirect contempt of court” hearings for both Desilets and Gardner, after Desilets no-showed an April 10 court date for a shooting case.
According to the story Desilets missed several cases involving violent criminals. Desilets claimed it was due to a doctors appointment. The judge said fine, show me the proof. Again, Desilets was a no show and that’s when the judge ordered him and Gardner to be in his courtroom. Apparently, prosecutors not showing up is the Standard Operating Procedure for the Circuit Attorney’s office under Gardner and the lawyers working there are leaving in droves.
This is the second assistant prosecutor to resign in recent weeks. Natalia Ogurkiewicz resigned on April 15, citing a toxic work environment, an unbearable workload, and a lack of support. She had been working on the Daniel Riley case. He’s the man accused in the tragic crash which caused Janae Edmondson to lose both her legs.
That vermin should have been locked up, but because Kim Gardner is a Soros DA, she punishes the innocent and frees the guilty.
Our news partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported another assistant prosecuting attorney, Alex Polta, resigned last Friday. He’d been with the office since 2017. Polta was at the center of a separate contempt of court hearing for the circuit attorney’s office. Polta had been assigned to the trial of Jonathon Jones, who was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the Sept. 6, 2021, shooting death of Brandon Scott near the Gateway Arch.
The trial was scheduled to begin on April 17, but Polta no-showed. Judge Scott Millikan requested both Gardner and Polta appear in his court on April 24 to “show cause” why they shouldn’t be held in contempt.
Apparently Polta provided information that he had given a note from his doctor to Gardner. Gardner skipped that hearing as well, and sent her own lawyer to see Judge Millikan.
Ultimately, Milliken opted not to hold Gardner and Polta in contempt of court, saying it’s a very high bar to clear, and that it is not met by evidence, instead suggesting an office in chaos rather than one intentionally missing trials.
The story ends with a note saying that they don’t know how many prosecutors are still on the job with the Circuit Attorney’s office. That should be public information. That a news agency wasn’t able to find out should scare the crap out of the people of St. Louis. This is what happens when you have Progressive Liberal Democrats in charge. They destroy everything they touch. Well, with luck, Gardner will be removed from her position. Hopefully, her replacement will actually be someone who is a good administrator and will enforce the laws and not use the office to go after his or her political enemies.
***UPDATE***
News has just broken that Kim Gardner has resigned. I’ll have more on this later.
