CNN Shutters Atlanta Headquarters After More Than 35 Years

Good day all. As the headline says, CNN is closing their Atlanta HQ and has moved out. To be honest, when I first saw that, the first thing that went into my head was that the owners of CNN had sold the building to get some return on their investment and were closing down the network.

Apparently, this is not the case. It looks like they’re just moving to new digs, and sadly, it isn’t a packing crate or a shipping container on the outskirts of Atlanta. Here are the details from the Daily Wire:

CNN is set to shutter its original headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, following its final broadcast Friday.

CNN host Kate Bolduan announced at the beginning of Friday’s episode of News Central CNN that the program was the last presented by control rooms at the CNN Center in Atlanta. The operation is prepared to move to the renovated 30-acre Turner Techwood campus in Midtown after more than 35 years of broadcasting, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Before we go today, we are marking an important moment today in CNN’s history. Today’s show will be the final broadcast from the CNN Center in Atlanta,” Bolduan said.

Do these idiots understand that when people here this, the first thing that they think of is that CNN is finally going to be shut down? Do they like disappointing tens of millions of people?

Starting Monday, our team there will move to a new home just a couple miles away, but it’s actually, the new home is actually the place where CNN founder Ted Turner started the network back in 1980,” Bolduan said.

As I recall, those early days were when CNN actually covered actual news. Later on they started living up to their moniker of the Communist News Network. When the Soviet Union collapsed and the Clintons took office, they started sucking up to them.

Bolduan played a clip from the first broadcast from the CNN Center that showed the first episode of “Daybreak,” featuring former hosts Donna Kelley and Brian Nelson.

Following the throwback, the anchor showed footage of employees waving goodbye from CNN’s two Atlanta control rooms.

And the world went wild! yawned and went back to Newsmax and for a few die hards, Fox.

AT&T, CNN’s former parent company, sought to save money by selling the CNN Center to Florida-based real estate firms CP Group and Rialto Capital Management, according to the outlet. Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s new parent company, prepared the Midtown Techwood property for Atlanta staff.

I did a little research, (Very little since I have a complete lack of giving a damn), but it appears that the Midtown Techwood facility is owned by Warner. It does make sense to close down the original facility and either lease it or sell it off. Now if CNN was actually making money instead of generating propaganda for the Democrats, they might have kept their original space and have it renovated and updated. Well, when CNN finally collapses under the weight of it’s on biases, I’m sure Warner Media will be able to rent the space out as well as sell of the CNN gear for scrap.
