Good day all. The Director of the United States Secret Service and Biden DEI Hire, Kimberly Cheatle, has resigned and it looks like it’s effective immensity.
This is a breaking story of course. I was just finishing up on another post not yet live when I checked my news feeds and saw the story. Here are the details available on Fox News:
U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned Tuesday in the wake of mounting pressure following the assassination attempt on former President Trump, Fox News confirmed.
The pressure was actually moving to the impeachment and removal process, and unlike others, this one probably would have succeeded.
Fox News reviewed the letter Cheatle sent to the U.S. Secret Service Tuesday morning, just a day after she testified before the House Oversight Committee Monday and over a week after a would-be assassin Thomas Crooks attempted to take the life of Trump at his rally in Butler, Pa. on July 13.
The letter is rather lengthy and starts out with this:
“To the Men and Women of the U.S. Secret Service, The Secret Service’s solemn mission is to protect our nation’s leaders and financial infrastructure,” Cheatle wrote in a letter to the agency. “On July 13th, we fell short on that mission.”
“As your Director, I take full responsibility for the security lapse,” she wrote.
Only after you tried to dodge responsibility.
Cheatle said, though, that the “incident does not define us.”
Nope, it defines YOU! It also defines your direct boss, Alejandro Mayorkis as well. Cheatle’s resignation letter goes on to basically say how wonderful she is and other meaningless drivel. Frankly, her resignation letter is far to long. It should have simply said, “I am responsible for the actions of the agents involved in the July 13th assassination attempt against President Trump. I now tender my resignation as Director of the United States Secret Service effective immediately.” The novel she submitted was her trying to avoid her responsibility and her incompetence.
Cheatle admitted under oath that the Secret Service “on July 13th, we failed.”
As the image asks, what did she mean by that statement? The level of incompetence seen has reached conspiracy theory level. The major question was why no one was on the roof of that building. The latest information I’ve read, and this has not been verified, is that there was someone on the roof, but he climbed down because it was too hot.
If this is true, and I can believe that the heat reflecting off that roof was intense, they way to deal with it is to rotate people. One is on the roof, and a couple are cooling down and can be put in place when the one currently on the roof asks for relief. Another question asked is why the Counter Snipers didn’t fire on the criminal when they saw the rifle?
There have been a couple of theories on this. One was they weren’t looking that closely and were focused at longer distances. There is a video of one of the snipers lifting his head off the scope. This indicates that he was trying to get a better view of the area. (Looking through a telescopic sight is like looking through a microscope. You are limited in what you can actually see)
I’ve been reading and watching actual professionals many military or former military snipers who have been asking why the spotter wasn’t using binoculars, for the very reason that scopes do not have the field of view needed to see everything. Finally thee are the Rules of Engagement. Did the snipers have authorization to shoot first? Were they calling in to their supervisor reporting that they had an armed suspect and asking for permission to shoot?
Cheatle was basically refusing to answer the very pointed questions put to her. She may have actually lied, but that has yet to be determined. She had no support from either side of the aisle. She had even lost Alexandria Occiasonal-Cortex. It took repeated blows to the virtual forehead, but Cheatle finally got the message. Good bye and good riddance.
