Good day all. It’s that time again and the Olympics are underway in France. To be honest, I wasn’t even aware they were going to be held. I also don’t care since I have no plans to watch them.

As I said, I haven’t been watching them. Apparently, the French or the International Olympic Committee, (IOC), decided that the best way to start the Olympics was by insulting every Christian on Earth. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
The 2024 Olympics opening ceremony in Paris has sparked international outrage with drag-queen themed imagery of religious and historical figures.
In between listing all the countries participating in the Olympic Games, there have been several performances riffing on France’s history and culture, such as a headless Marie Antoinette, the last queen prior to being executed amid French Revolution, singing with her severed head in her hands sporting drag-style makeup. This was part of numerous drag queens that appeared to be a recurring theme throughout the ceremonies. Three drag queens were among the 10,000 torchbearers who relayed the Olympic flame as it started in Greece, passed through French territories and made its way to Paris.

One new display on Friday showed what appear to be numerous performers, including drag queens and a large woman in an aureole halo crown, parodying “The Last Supper,” a universally recognizable painting by renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci of Christ and his apostles.
What the Hell were the organizers thinking? Actually, I suspect they weren’t thinking at all, or very little. (They didn’t insult the Muslim community since they would kill them) Needless to say, this has all gone over about as well as a skunk in a high end perfume store.

“Men in wigs front & center at the Olympic Games,” OutKick’s Riley Gaines wrote in a social media post. “No one ever tell me this group is ‘oppressed’ or ‘marginalized’ again.”
Ms. Gaines tweet was just the tip of the iceberg. Now sponsors are pulling out. Here are those details from Fox Business News:
The 2024 Olympic Ceremony opened up the games in Paris, France on Friday night, providing spectators with a taste of French culture and blasphemous art, leading to Christians around the world being offended and at least one sponsor dropping out.
Mississippi-based telecommunications and technology company C Spire posted on X that it had pulled all of its advertising from the Olympics over the ceremony’s mockery of painting created to show a biblical moment crucial to the Christian faith.
“We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics,” the company posted. “C Spire will be pulling our advertising from the Olympics.”
The organizers still don’t seem to understand that they have a problem. Here are those details from Fox News:
Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps spoke about it on Sunday.
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. (The opening ceremony) tried to celebrate community tolerance,” Descamps told reporters, via Reuters.
“We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense, we are really sorry.”
If your ambition was to insult a couple of billion people around the world, congratulations, you have succeeded. Of course, there are those who will always double down on stupid.
Another French LGBT leader suggested the ceremony didn’t go far enough.
“We know in the LGBTQ community in France we are far from what the ceremony showed. There’s much progress to do in society regarding transgender people. It’s terrible that to legally change their identity they are forced to be on trial,” Inter-LGBT president James Leperlier said.
“If you saw the opening ceremony last night you’d think it was like that normally, but it’s not. France tried to show what it should be and not what it is.”
Like most Americans, I don’t give a damn about France. They have a long history of always being there right when they need us. If we need them, they turn up their noses and tell America to go away. (Next time someone overruns your country, don’t call us, we’ll call you…collect)
Of course, the Main Stream Media thinks that the Opening events were just wonderful. Here are a few of those details, again from Fox News:
A few media outlets appeared to praise the drag queens’ performance and depiction of “The Last Supper” at the Paris Olympics, which was widely criticized by conservatives.
“In an unprecedented display of inclusivity, drag queens took center stage at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, showcasing the vibrant and influential role of the French LGBTQ+ community — while also attracting criticism over a tableau reminiscent of ‘The Last Supper,’” the Associated Press reported.
I’m not at all surprised with the the Associated with Terrorists Press backing this. Most of them, outside of Islamic countries of course, probably have the same mental issues as these persons. Those Associated with Terrorists Press “Journalists” in Islamic countries know enough to not say anything in favor of this garbage lest they found out if they can bounce after being tossed off a roof of a high rise.
The performance was also hailed by NBC News Chicago as a dazzling “display of inclusivity” at the Paris Olympic Games.
“Inclusivity took center stage at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony as the lights beamed, flags of Olympic teams were carried over the Seine River and drag queens captivated the world,” the local affiliate reported.
NBC News described it as an “unabashed” performance while reporting on the criticism of the depiction of “The Last Supper.”
It’s only been a few days since the Olympics kicked off. I would be interested in how the opening events were handled in other countries that aren’t infected with the DEI virus. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the opening wasn’t flat out censored in many countries. I’m also going to be curious on what the final numbers of viewers of both the Opening events and the actual games will be. I’ll bet they won’t be very good.
Add to this, sponsors deciding that their advertising budgets would be better invested elsewhere, As C Spire just announced, and the French Taxpayers may be on the hook for a lot more then they expected. It will also make it harder for the IOC when they look for another host victim country for the next Olympic games.
