Good day all. Despite the actions of a number of corrupt Progressive Obama and Biden judges, it looks like that the Reductions in Force, also known as lay offs, for the federal government are now underway.
Since President Trump unleashed the Weaponized Autistics of the Department of Government Efficiency, aka DOGE, a number of people have been basically suspended with pay. President Trump then offered a buy out package for all government employees. Initially, that was blocked by a Democrat judge who usurped authority he didn’t have. That order was overturned. Now the window on the buyouts has closed and the lay offs have begun. Here are the details from Newsmax:
Mass layoffs at multiple U.S. government agencies have begun as President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk accelerate their purge of America’s federal bureaucracy, union sources and employees familiar with the layoffs told Reuters on Thursday.
The first notifications have been sent out to thousands of “Probationary” government employees that their services are no longer required. As I understand it, anyone who has less then a year on the job can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all. This is the same for people working in the Dreaded Private Sector.
It was not immediately clear on Thursday how many federal workers stood to lose their jobs in the first wave of firings. But the move fulfills Trump’s vow to reduce the size of the federal government and root out the “deep state,” a reference to bureaucrats he views as not sufficiently loyal to him.
I have an answer to that. Not nearly enough.
“The Agency finds that you are not fit for continued employment because your ability, knowledge and skills do not fit the current needs, and your performance has not been adequate to justify further employment with the Agency,” letters sent to at least 45 probationers at the SBA stated.
Reuters has seen a copy of the termination letter.
No doubt they have hundreds of copies sent to them by now former federal employees. I don’t recall, was Reuters one of the news companies that was bought and paid for by the Federal Government?
Trump, a Republican serving his second term, repeatedly called for the elimination of the Education Department during his presidential campaign. On Wednesday, he called it a “con job” and said he wants it closed.
The Trump administration is starting the process. President Trump is shutting down everything he can, and will be looking for legislation from Congress ending the Department of Education forever.
One GSA employee, who said he had one month left until his probation period ended and had been receiving excellent performance reviews, was told this week he will be fired on Friday.
“Up until two weeks ago, this was an absolute dream job. Now it’s become an absolute nightmare because of what is going on. I have small children and a mortgage to pay,” the worker told Reuters.
Welcome to the real world. Now you are finding out just how regular people in the Dreaded Private Sector feel when they lose their jobs, which has been going on since the first day of the worst president in American History, Dementia Joe Biden, was installed into the White House.
According to government data, about 280,000 civilian government workers were hired less than two years ago, with most still on probation.
And almost every single one of them needs to go. Now there are some of those positions that are actually needed. I suspect they won’t be the ones getting the notification that they are now “Surplus to needs.” I know that I sound unsympathetic, but I’ve been in the position more times then I like being shown the door and having to find a new job before my money ran out.
The good news is that as the cuts in spending and, more importantly, regulations, kick in, private sector jobs will start picking up. I’m sure all these people that have been laid off will soon find new jobs worthy of their Masters degree in Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
