Good day all. If there is one thing we can all agree on, the Deep State absolutely despises Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency. The Democrats in Congress have been ranting and raving over all the things that DOGE has been finding. The Deep State has been going to their pet Obama and Biden judges to “Stop Trump!”
The judges that have been issuing injunctions have all been Obama or Biden judges. One of them ordered the Trump Administration to restart payment to foreign entities, some of which are connected with known terrorist groups. Others have been saying that President Trump may not actually carry out his duties under Article II of the Constitution and that DOGE won’t be allowed into various agencies. President Trump’s answer to that? He gives Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency even more power to rip apart the bureaucracy. Here are the details from the Daily Wire:
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday to “further reign in government waste and officially implement” the Department of Government Efficiency’s “cost efficiency initiative.”
The order requires each agency head to work directly with the DOGE team to identify where government contracts and grants can be terminated or modified. The new process, which “shall commence immediately,” aims to reduce federal government spending or “reallocate spending to promote efficiency and advance the policies” of the Trump administration.
Now why is this a big deal? Recently, the acting head of the Social Security Administration was fired after she refused to allow DOGE to audit the system, looking for fraud and waste. One person who was helping DOGE was suspended and almost fired by her minions. That man is now the acting head of the Social Security Administration and he is happily assisting Elon Musk and DOGE.
Trump signed the order after holding the first cabinet meeting of his new administration, during which his senior adviser, Elon Musk, who influences DOGE’s actions, spoke at length about the department’s goals.
“The overall goal here with the DOGE team is to address the enormous deficit,” Musk told a room full of Trump cabinet members on Wednesday. “We simply cannot sustain as a country two-trillion-dollar deficits. Just the interest on the debt now exceeds the Defense Department spending.”
President Trump and Elon Musk, along with a number of members of Congress understand that the United States is on a trajectory for complete economic collapse. I suspect that some of the Democrats, not very many, maybe 5 or 6, also know that our spending is out of control. We need to rein spending along with reducing the size and scope of the Federal Government. This is the purpose of DOGE. Find all the waste, fraud and spending that makes no sense and close it down.
The order requires “Each Agency Head, in consultation with the agency’s DOGE Team Lead, [to] conduct a comprehensive review of each agency’s contracting policies, procedures, and personnel.”
If you recall, there was a major stink over Musk’s email to all government workers asking for 5 line items on what they had done the previous week. Musk called it a “Pulse check.” By this, he wanted to know if government employees actually existed. A new email has been sent out by the Office of Personnel Management that they need to send in the report and this wasn’t optional.
Earlier this month, the White House said that Musk was not the DOGE administrator and revealed on Monday that the administrator is Amy Gleason, a healthcare executive who worked for the Trump and Biden administrations. From 2018 to 2021, Gleason worked for the U.S. Digital Service (USDS), which became DOGE.
Now how did I miss this? I didn’t know that Musk wasn’t the one actually running DOGE. Oh, I see. Amy Gleason handles the back office while Musk and his teams rampage through the Deep State’s money laundering systems.
Trump’s new directive for DOGE expands on the executive order he signed earlier this month that required heads of federal agencies to “coordinate and consult” with DOGE in the hiring process and to “limit hiring to essential positions.”
In most cases, the heads of the agencies that have been replaced by President Trump’s people are already doing this. I suspect this is to make it all “Official” and force the few holdovers to follow Presidential instructions, or else.
DOGE and Musk’s increasing power and influence on the Trump administration has become concerning for some critics. Asked by a reporter on Wednesday if any members of the cabinet members were “unhappy” with Musk’s work, Trump said that some might “disagree a little bit,” but added, “For the most part, I think everyone is not only happy, but thrilled.”
President Trump was elected with a mandate to basically burn the Deep State Swamp to the ground and salt the earth so no bureaucracy would ever grow there again. The people he’s been bringing in agree with this. It’s the Washington D.C. swamp dwellers that are aghast at what President Trump is doing. They are pulling out all the stops to try and stop President Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE. They will lose and we need to make sure they do.
