Bureaucrats attempted a rebellion, DOGE calls in the Marines

Good day all. Each and every day something new comes out regarding Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency either finding huge amounts of waste and fraud, or some pack of bureaucrats trying to block DOGE from doing their job, up to and including refusing entry into the building. (USAID tried this)

It appears that USAID wasn’t alone in attempting to lock out DOGE, but another group of Leftard halfwits actually tried to blockade themselves in the building. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:

The U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) launched a chaotic, short-lived rebellion against Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) on Monday, sabotaging their own building and communications infrastructure in a failed attempt to resist a Trump administration takeover, sources exclusively told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Oh this should be amusing. This is literally about a pack of entitled Progressives who think they don’t have to follow the instructions of the President of the United States.

The standoff stemmed from President Donald Trump’s Feb. 19 executive order demanding the dramatic downsizing of numerous federally-funded organizations, explicitly requiring USIP to reduce its operations and personnel to the minimum levels required by law. The administration determined the institute’s leadership, under George Moose, was not complying with this directive, leading Trump to replace Moose with senior USAID official Kenneth Jackson on Friday, March 14th.

Apparently this clown, George Moose, decided that HE was in charges and that President Trump had no authority over him or the organization. The new head of the organization, Kenneth Jackson, had to bring the police in with him.

USIP leadership orchestrated extensive internal sabotage before DOGE personnel arrived to implement Trump’s mandated leadership changes, according to a Trump administration official involved in the USIP leadership transition who requested anonymity.

These moonbats decided that they should remove the locking mechanisms on the doors and bolt them shut from the inside.

Contrary to earlier reporting by The Washington Post and The New York Times, which claimed the institute merely locked its doors, photographic evidence exclusively obtained by the DCNF shows locks had been physically removed from the exterior doors, effectively destroying entry mechanisms. The official said USIP staff removed the locks.

The Slimes and the ComPost lied? Tell me it isn’t so!

Moreover, staff contacted Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in an attempt to prevent DOGE personnel from entering, citing barricaded doors and security concerns.

MPD officers later confirmed these obstructions upon arrival, further discrediting claims that USIP had only engaged in passive resistance.

I’m sure that in the circles of the Progressive Liberal Democrats, setting up barricades is considered passive resistance.

Much of USIP’s leadership, including Moose, barricaded themselves on the building’s fifth floor, closing window shades and blocking access points in a last-ditch effort to resist DOGE’s entry, the official told the DCNF.

There is a picture in the article showing the locking mechanism on one of the doors missing, making it impossible to unlock the door from the outside.

The obstruction didn’t end at damaged doors. Prior to Monday’s confrontation, USIP leaders disabled telephone lines, internet connections and other IT infrastructure, forcing communication among staff through walkie-talkies, according to the official. This deliberate effort to disrupt operations delayed DOGE’s entry and added to the confusion during Monday’s standoff.

That’s the problem with today’s “Yoots.” They’re all digital and don’t really know how to do things without all the electronic doodads and gigaws they grew up with. Walkie-Talkies have limited range and unless you spend a lot of money, are easy to listen into or just plain jam. These mental midgets also created flyers with instructions on “How to resist.”

Flyers distributed internally further revealed an organized, premeditated resistance strategy. “Greet the guest(s) but do not engage in conversation and immediately notify the on-duty lieutenant,” read the flyers, referring explicitly to anticipated DOGE officials, photos and names of whom were included.

Considering the levels of violence the Leftards are starting to engage in again, (Currently fire bombing Tesla locations), and the threats towards anyone who isn’t a Communist Progressive Liberal Democrat, I would not have been at all surprised if there wasn’t physical violence if the police hadn’t come in as well.

Further reinforcing the deliberate, calculated nature of the rebellion, an internal memo from Feb. 6 titled “External Agency Visitor Procedure,” also obtained exclusively by the DCNF, outlined detailed contingency plans for resisting the Trump administration’s attempts at a leadership transition. The document asserts USIP’s discretion over its own facilities, security protocols and access control, buttressing the leadership’s belief that they could reject external overseers.

This concept, that a bureaucracy is basically a law unto itself, is the reason people hate the government. The clowns can’t seem to grasp the fact that they are supported, generally unwillingly, by the American Taxpayers. When a Donald Trump is elected on a platform of shutting down departments and agencies, these moonbats see it as an existential threat to their way of life and enter in a mental state of complete denial.

It also postulates the institute’s control over its own physical infrastructure, implying leadership believed they had the authority to disable security systems, destroy locks and otherwise render the building inoperable as a means of resistance. The document confirms advanced planning more than ten days before Trump’s inciting executive order, contradicting the outward appearance of Monday’s showdown as a spontaneous and purely reactionary resistance.

The “Resistance” began on the evening of Friday, March 14th when the newly appointed USIP president, Ken Jackson and several DOGE staffers showed up. Some idiot lawyer recognized some of the people form the flyer and said that President Trump’s order was illegal. Rather then get into a shouting match with a moonbat, they withdrew.

Over the weekend, Moose and other USIP leaders intensified their resistance plot by holding an emergency meeting, firing the institute’s security contractors (a company called Inter-Con) to block DOGE access — a move the administration official said was illegal — and implementing lockdown measures, including removing the electronic access systems Inter-Con employees used to enter as well as destroying physical locks entirely, the official told the DCNF. Inter-Con declined to comment.

I suspect that Inter-Con couldn’t comment for legal reasons. I can see why they left. They didn’t want to get into a fight with the yoyo’s “Resisting.” (They aren’t paid enough for that) In the end, having a weekend to “Fortify their positions” didn’t help. The DOGE people returned and they brought reinforcements with them.

By Monday afternoon, DOGE personnel returned to USIP headquarters and were denied entry, prompting institute staff to call MPD.

Yeah, that worked out real well for them.

The staff expected police officers to side with them against the Trump administration’s takeover attempt — instead, MPD officers arrived in response to a complaint from the U.S. Attorney for D.C. Ed Martin’s office, which had alerted them to reports of noncompliance at the institute’s headquarters, according to the police report.

Oops! I so love it when criminals call the police to complain that someone is interfering with their criminal activities, and then are so surprised when the police show up and taze them instead.

MPD officers entered the facility through emergency stairs after encountering drawn window shades and barricaded doors on the building’s fifth floor, eventually escorting Moose and other holdout staff off the premises.

I suspect this was a handful of uniformed officers, not a tactical/SWAT team. Pity. I would have loved to have seen them blow the locked doors open and then toss in some tear gas and flash bang grenades. (Fragmentation would have been MY preference, but that’s just me) I also would have escorted them out in handcuffs to their waiting transportation to the nearest jail. However, they were sent home. They also didn’t get the hint that they were done and to start looking for a new job.

After suffering a decisive rout in Monday’s standoff, former USIP leadership regrouped Wednesday to file a lawsuit against the Trump administration, seeking to overturn the takeover and reinstate its ousted leadership.

Granted, there are any number of Obama and Biden judges that would have loved to do this, but the way things are going now between these judges and the Administration, it’s very likely that such an order wold be ignored and these moonbats would find themselves under arrest.

The complaint claimed that DOGE officials “plundered” USIP offices — while USIP’s approach, according to the official, involved deliberately damaging their own facilities by removing locks, disabling infrastructure and generally reducing their workplace to a dysfunctional shell.

Oh I can see how that went. “They plundered our offices your Honor! Stop them!” I don’t think even a Biden judge could rule in their favor and not be laughed off the bench by everyone. As for their “Resistance?” It was just another demonstration of what happens with Leftards when faced with this horrifying thing called “Reality.”

This clash represents a uniquely dramatic example of bureaucratic defiance against presidential mandates — defiance that, despite meticulous planning and internal coordination, dissolved the moment police arrived to install their lawful replacements.

It’s always that way with Leftards. They’re great at making speeches and issuing demands and even doing some damage. But when the rubber hits the road, they fold like cheap suits and run crying to mommy.

By Monday evening, Jackson and other Trump-appointed leadership had assumed unquestioned control over the Institute of Peace, rendering the resistance efforts of its former stewards futile.

The next stage is to close this clown show of a bureaucracy down. Like all such Progressive agencies, it accomplished nothing over the years but waste money and make things worse. As for “The Resistance?” I hope the DoJ is looking at actual criminal charges against these losers. It’s time to stop coddling these leftard moonbats and start jailing them for a few decades.
