Democrats version of Democracy just shafted David Hogg

Good day all. A few months back the Democratic National Committee held an internal election for their vice chair things. Out of all that, one of the two people selected was the well known narcissist, David Hogg. When the news came out that he had been elected, the Republican Party all but surrendered and conceded that the United States was going to become a single party state under the Democrats.

No, I’m just kidding. The GOP couldn’t believe their luck that the Democrats would be so stupid as to put this 20 something twerp in charge of anything but making coffee runs for the grown ups. True to form, Hogg started using the DNC’s fundraising list for his own use and then decided that he would primary any Democrat he thought was to old or not “Pure” enough. Now the DNC has decided to get rid of Hogg. Here are the details from Fox News:

A Democratic National Committee panel voted to void its election of David Hogg as vice chair of the Democratic Party on Monday.

How typical for the party that claims they are for Democracy. When something happens the Democrat elite doesn’t like, then they just cancel or reverse an election.

The initial vote comes after mounting internal criticism of Hogg, though party officials say the vote was based on a procedural challenge made in February claiming Hogg and another official were improperly elected. The DNC will vote later this year on whether to remove Hogg.

And if you believe that it was a procedural challenge, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you might want to purchase.

“Today, the DNC took its first steps to remove me from my position as Vice Chair At-Large. While this vote was based on how the DNC conducted its officers’ elections, which I had nothing to do with, it is also impossible to ignore the broader context of my work to reform the party which loomed large over this vote,” Hogg said in a statement reacting to the vote.

“I ran to be DNC Vice Chair to help make the Democratic Party better, not to defend an indefensible status quo that has caused voters in almost every demographic group to move away from us,” he added.

And they continue to move away. You weren’t making things better, (Not surprising), but worse for the Democrats. A lot worse.

Monday’s vote also ousted Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta as DNC vice chair. Christine Pelosi, a member of the credentials committee and daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued the vote was not in reaction to their performance.

I wasn’t aware that they’d booted the other vice chair thing. I thought he covered most of the requirements. Black, Progressive, Gay. Pretty much the only thing missing was wearing a dress and calling himself Mary.

“First, I want to say clearly and explicitly that this decision has nothing to do with the service of any DNC officer, especially [Hogg] or [Kenyatta]. This is about a violation of parliamentary procedure that was raised in a challenge filed back in February by another candidate for Vice Chair.”

“I think I speak for all of us on the Committee when I say I hope both of these talented individuals put their names on the ballot again,” she said. “We’ll move fast to get this resolved. I have total faith in our DNC members to review this issue and vote their conscience.”

I don’t know about Kenyatta, (And if that isn’t a bogus name, I don’t know what is), but Hogg is not going to be on the ballot. My guess is the DNC is going to drop him into the memory hole and forget about him. He’s outlived any usefulness he ever had and now the Democrat Elite see him as a threat to their power.

Hogg clashed with veteran Democratic strategist James Carville over the plan during a joint appearance on journalist Tara Palmeri’s podcast.

Carville was once, a long time ago, actually relevant. He and Karl Rove would go head to head. Now? They are both obsolete and irrelevant. Still, Carville is still quite capable of verbally pummeling David Hogg and did so.

Carville criticized it as “abominable” and “jacka–ery of the highest level” for prioritizing pushing out Democrats over beating Republicans. Hogg shot back that the party is capable of both. Carville demanded Hogg focus on winning elections against the GOP. Hogg insisted that the point of his strategy is to “win elections.”

David Hogg’s baseline strategy is putting himself ahead of everyone else. In his narcissistic worldview, he is the smartest and most important person in the Democrat Party. What he actually is, is a classic beta male.

I expect that Hogg is going to be tossed out of the DNC. I also expect that he is going to be ignored by the Democrat Party. However, this whole fiasco can be used by the RNC to really hammer the Democrats. Their claim of being “For Democracy!” and then deciding that since they don’t like the results, they’re going to just throw them out should be thrown back in their collectivist faces. As for David Hogg? Your 15 minutes expired long ago. Please enjoy your future irrelevance.
