Good day all. This one is close to home. The New Hampshire state legislature has passed a bill and Governor Ayotte has signed into law a ban on cities protecting illegal aliens.
Now for those of you that haven’t taken the hint, Anger Central is based in New Hampshire. I’ve been a life long resident since my parents saw the writing on the wall and decided to got out of the People’s Republic of Taxachusetts while the getting was good. As you might have ascertained from reading this blog, I am not what you would call a Woke, Progressive Liberal Moonbat Democrat.
However, due to New Hampshire’s low tax structure, (No income or sales tax. Property tax is a touch on the high side though), we have seen a flood of Massholes moving up here. One issue with this, as it is with any red state seeing in influx of Liberals, is that far to many of them bring their idiotic voting with them.
This is one reason that New Hampshire is “Confused” politically. Most of the cities are generally Democrat while rural areas may go either way, at least until you reach Concord. This is why the legislature is generally Republican controlled, the Governor’s office can switch back and forth and the federal offices are held by leftard idiots. In any case, most people are on board with getting the illegals out of the United States, including many lawful resident aliens. Now we have solidly put in place a “No sanctuary cities” law. Here are the details from Fox News:
New Hampshire on Thursday became the first state in New England to ban so-called sanctuary cities.
Sadly, it will probably be the only state in the Northeast as well.
“There will be no sanctuary cities in New Hampshire, period, end of story,” Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte said at a bill signing ceremony at the state Capitol.
Speaking with Fox News Digital minutes later, Ayotte noted that the measures she signed “ban sanctuary cities in New Hampshire but also allow cooperation between all of our law enforcement and federal immigration authorities.”
Excellent. Now there is no requirement for states to assist the Federal Government in enforcing federal laws. They can if they so choose. It appears that the new law might be designed to reign in any tendencies of certain cities and towns to try and obstruct ICE.
New Hampshire joins a growing number of states in banning sanctuary cities, which is a term used to describe jurisdictions that put some limits on cooperating with efforts by federal authorities to deport illegal immigrants.
One major issue with these “Sanctuary cities” and in some cases, States, is that they are releasing illegal aliens who are also dangerous criminals instead of handing them over to ICE for removal from the United States. We have seen any number of crimes committed by these criminals after being released including rape and murder. The Democrats ruining these cities just don’t care who their policies hurt as long as they keep their positions.
Kelly Ayotte ran on a promise to ban sanctuary cities during her 2024 campaign. This was a dig on Massachusetts’s policy of protecting illegal aliens. With this bill now signed into law, she kept that promise.
“I campaigned on making sure we would not have sanctuary cities here in New Hampshire, and we don’t want to go the way of Massachusetts that has had a billion-dollar illegal immigration crisis,” the governor said in her national digital exclusive interview with Fox News.
Because of the sanctuary policies of Massachusetts, along with their outright suppression of the 2nd Amendment, the state is seeing a crime wave as well as massive welfare expenses. New Hampshire hasn’t seen the levels of crime happening in Massachusetts from illegal aliens for a simple reason.
In New Hampshire, more then half the citizens are armed and the State has little trouble with people using lethal force to protect themselves, their families and their neighbors from these predators. As police officer I was talking with 30+ years ago when I asked about New Hampshire’s low crime rate, his response was telling. “Criminals don’t want to get shot.”
The two bills were passed in the GOP-dominated state legislature mostly along party lines.
Some Democrats in New Hampshire, who opposed the measure, pointed to Trump’s efforts in the nation’s capital.
“What this bill does, under the guise of enabling New Hampshire law enforcement to support federal immigration efforts, is to make our state a willing accomplice in a politically manufactured campaign of state terrorism against a group of people, the vast majority of whom came here not to victimize America, but because they love America and they believe America is good,” state Rep. David Meuse told reporters.
No you walking diaper stain, these criminals do not “Love America.” If they really wanted to become Americans, then they would have gone through the legal process and immigrated here. Instead, these people just stormed across the border and demanded that we accept them and give them money.
But Ayotte, asked about the lack of support from across the political aisle for the two bills, said, “I don’t understand where the Democrats are on these policies.”
Allow me to show you Governor, exactly where the Democrats heads are at.
Now there are no “Official” sanctuary cities in New Hampshire. However, there are somewhere between 9 to 12 cities and towns that the Republican lawmakers have identified as “Welcoming or Sanctuary” cities. They don’t provide a list, but as a resident of the state, I have a few ideas. In any case, this should put an end to the ideas of protecting the criminals that have been invading the United States for the last four years.
