Good day all. As I write this, it’s Saturday, August 9th, 2025. Today, two things are happening. First is the 80th anniversary of the B-29 bomber, Bock’s Car delivering a second helping of portable sunshine on the Imperial Japanese city, Nagasaki. The second thing that has happened is that Noted YouTuber Brandon Herrera has just thrown his hat into the ring for a second run for office in Texas’s 23rd district.
Now you may recall that, although I don’t live in Texas, I supported Brandon Herrera’s first run against the Incumbent RINO, Tony Gonzales. Brandon came within 400 votes of winning the primary and scared the living crap out of Rep. Gonzales and the Washington Uniparty Republicans.
After the election when President Trump kicked Kackling Kamala Harris to the curb in a landslide win, Brandon Herrera’s name was put forward to be the next director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Apparently, there were some in Washington who actually took this seriously. Watching some of the podcasts on YouTube and also on Pepperbox, it appeared that someone in DC did talk to Brandon about the possibility. Sadly, he was not selected, although many a meme was created.
Of course, the slanderous Gonzales was reelected, and according to Mr. Herrera, promptly returned to his Deep State Uniparty RINO roots. I have not followed Gonzales since he’s not my Representative, but it doesn’t surprise me. Here is the YouTube video of Brandon’s announcement.
Now in 2024, I donated to two races. This was the first time I had ever donated to any candidate. Lily Tang Williams was the other since she was running in my district. Sadly, she lost to a carpetbagging Democrat Washington insider. Lily Williams, who did the best mic drop ever against the Tutu wearing dweeb, David Hogg, is running again. Personally, I think she should up her game and go for the Senate.

Now one thing I am wondering about is what will happen if the redistricting debate currently underway, with the Democrats bravely running away to “Protect Democrats Democracy,” goes through? District 23 is huge and I would suspect that breaking it up into two more more new districts, (I think Texas is looking at 5 new districts), might change just who Brandon Herrera actually faces. It could be that this becomes an open seat.
If things in the 23rd district remain stable, I have no doubt that Brandon Herrera is going hammer Tony Gonzales. He came close the last time and it was only the flat out lies by Gonzales and the Deep State plus outspending the Herrera for Congress campaign by 10-1 that saved his butt.

I wonder if Brandon is going to ask his friend and fellow podcaster, The Fat Electrician, to do opposition research? Right now, he’s currently ripping the Buffalo School System to shreds for their crimes against children. Putting a binder together of Tony Gonzales’s greatest hits shouldn’t take him more then an afternoon and a few beers.
I wish Brandon Herrera the best of luck and I have a good feeling about this run. The one or two downers to this is that being a Representative is going to eat into his podcast production. The other thing? If Gonzales is, as he should be, shown the door, (Along with the other Texas RINO, John Cornyn), he will be vested in his congressional pension at my expense. Perhaps Representative Herrera might consider a bill to fix all that?
