Good day all. While there are a few details to iron out on the Continuing Resolution, for all intents and purposes, The Schumer Shutdown is over. Now the fallout is coming down and it’s landing all over UpChuck Schumer.

The Democrats, who with their Legacy media lackeys, shut the government down and tried to blame President Trump and the Republicans, which is their normal practice. The problem with that was Majority Leader Thune repeatedly bringing up the CR for a vote. Every time he did, the Democrats voted against it.
While all this was going on, President Trump was working to try and minimize the inconvenience to the American people. This differs from previous Democrat presidents, such as Obama, who worked to maximize the inconvenience. Eventually, even the Democrat Propaganda Corps figured out that the Democrats were playing a losing hand and calling on them to end the Schumer Shutdown. They finally did with 8 Democrats voting in favor of the CR.
Now the fallout of this disaster has arrived. The original demands by the Democrats amounted to undoing the Big Beautiful Bill, $1.5 trillion dollars for healthcare for illegal aliens and trying to keep Obamacare afloat. They didn’t get anything of importance. Now they are all blaming the Senate Minority Leader, Charles “UpChuck” Schumer and many are calling for his removal from the Democrat leadership. Here are the amusing details from Fox News:
The eight critical votes that advanced a short-term spending package on Sunday evening and put the government on the path to re-opening also tore the seams of Democratic Party unity, bringing scrutiny to its shutdown strategy and leadership. One of the eight said that the plan Democrats had rallied around at its outset had crumbled.
The Democrats had an actual plan? It certainly didn’t seem like it to me. As far as I can tell, it was all about shafting the majority of Americans, enriching themselves and kowtowing to their Communist base.
“After six weeks — going on seven weeks — that path wasn’t working,” Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, said. “It wasn’t going to happen. The question was: Does the shutdown further the goal of achieving some needed support for the extension of the tax credits? Our judgment was that it will not produce that result.”
“The evidence for that is almost seven weeks of fruitless attempts to make that happen. Would it change in a week? Or another week? Or after Thanksgiving? There’s no evidence that it would.”
No, it wouldn’t. The Democrats and King, who pretends to be independent but is a Democrat, thought that this would go the same way it always has. The Republicans would cave in and give the Democrats whatever they wanted. They still haven’t figured out that the old Bush class of Republicans are all but extinct in the Republican party.
You have President Trump and he was elected to get things done and to crush those trying to block what the majority of Americans voted for. President Trump and his team were prepared for the shutdown and made sure that the Acme Spine Company was on call, ready to implant spines into the usual Republican jellyfish. The GOP held fast and the Democrats got shafted for a change. And now, the Democrats are going full blame game.
To other Democrats, it’s the party’s top figures who led a losing effort.
“Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif, said in a post on social media on Sunday.
I can’t speak for the Democrats, only insult them, but Khanna, who is a communist, isn’t in the Senate and has no say in who the Senate Democrats select for their leadership. Still, it’s nice to see her attack UpChuck. I do wonder who she has in mind to replace him?

Democrats who voted for the package secured the inclusion of language that prevents the Trump administration from conducting mass layoffs of federal workers through Jan. 30 and guarantees back pay for federal employees fired since the beginning of the shutdown. Additionally, they secured a stand-alone vote on the tax credit subsidies to be considered later this year, although that vote remains likely to fail without the needed Republican support.
The Democrats will get their vote. The problem is that the Republicans have never supported Obamacare. They see what Obamacare is, an abject failure. The subsidies the Democrats wanted were designed to hide the true costs of Obamacare. Now people will see just how bad the ACA (Obamacare) really is. Without question, the Democrats will try to blame the Republicans, but it’s not going to work out the way they hope.
To some Democrats, a failure to secure an extension — or even a partial extension — of the Obamacare subsidies was unacceptable.
“I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their healthcare or whether they will be able to afford to get sick,” Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., said of the proposal.
“That’s not a deal. It’s an unconditional surrender that abandons the 24 million Americans whose healthcare premiums are about to double,” Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., said in a post on X.

This is called reality. These subsidies were pushed though during the Panicdemic by the Democrats and were set to expire right about…now. Instead of fixing the mess they created with Obamacare, the Democrats once again only thought about papering over the massive holes in it.
In any case, the Continuing Resolution was only meant to continue the current spending until the actual budget was ready. The Republicans were fine with discussing Obamacare and the subsidies after the CR was in place. The problem was that the Democrats, long used to using extortion to get what they wanted, never considered what would happen if the Republicans simply said, “Fine, go ahead and shut it all down. We will make sure the voters know who was responsible.” Basically, the Democrats didn’t have a backup plan.
But after 40 days of waiting, frustrations over the lack of an off-ramp didn’t just come from the senators who voted to advance the legislation.
“I just don’t get what the point is of delaying even longer,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said moments after opposing the bill. “I want Republicans to grow a backbone and say, ‘Regardless of what Donald Trump says, we’re going to restore these cuts on healthcare,’ but it looks like I’ve lost that fight. So, I don’t want to impose more pain on people who are hungry and who haven’t been paid.”

Ah yes, The Senior Senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth “Big Chief Sitting Bullshit” Warren. She hasn’t figured out that the rules have changed and the GOP did grow a backbone, it’s just that the backbone was in place to stand against the Communism that Warren espouses. If this had been the Republicans of the Bush era, she would have gotten what she wanted and to Hell with what the majority of voters wanted.
Now the question is, will UpChuck Schumer survive as minority leader? I have no idea. There is an internal fight going on inside the Democrat Party that makes the fight between the Trump Make America Great Again people and the old school, Bush/Cheney Globalist Neocon wing look like a minor argument.

You have the few remaining old school Democrats who want to rule the country and loot the treasury, but many of them are dying off or retiring. San Fran Nan Pelosi is a classic case. They are up against the outright Communists who want to rule America in the Soviet style and are quite willing to resort to violence to get what they want.
For most Americans, the general response has been to take precautions to protect themselves and their families from the Democrats thugs. (Antifa) Once that has been taken care of, they are sitting back and following this advice:
The Republicans will simply deal with the survivors winners. In the meantime, they’re just going to enjoy the show.

Unfortunately, it’s a constitutional requirement to pay the deadbeats of Congress. A number of Republicans refused their paychecks.
They Americans as hostage and made them do without federal assistance while their fat paychecks kept flowing in. How sick is that??
