Good day all. With the recent discovery, (At least in the national consciousness), of the massive levels of fraud perpetrated primarily, (But not exclusively), by Somali Immigrants, some legacy media and a lot of independent journalists and reporters are starting to really dig into things.

One reporter who really started the ball rolling on the fraud going on in Minnesota was Nick Shirley. He looked into several Somali owned daycare centers and found that they appeared to be nothing more then front organizations set up to steal money. One was so blatant that they had misspelled the word “Learning,” and a new meme was born.

The DoJ is now really digging into the fraud in Minnesota and several other states as well. You would think that state officials would also want to look into all their welfare programs to see that there was no fraud happening. In many cases you would be right. However, there are some state Attorneys General who have decided that the real criminals are those exposing the fraud. Here are the details of one such AG from the Post Millennial:
Washington Attorney General Nick Brown is threatening independent journalists for investigating alleged daycare fraud, claiming they are harassing daycare workers.
In a statement obtained by The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Brown said, “My office has received outreach from members of the Somali community after reports of home-based daycare providers being harassed and accused of fraud with little to no fact-checking.”
I can’t say I’m surprised. Most of the fraud being uncovered has been in the Somali immigrant communities in Democrat controlled states. While the new investigations are ramping up in Minnesota, it’s beginning to look like both Govno Tim Walz and the state AG, Kieth Ellison, might be in a bit of a legal pickle. The very early reports seem to indicate that they actively blocked any state investigations into the crime wave known as the Somali Affair.
According to the Attorney General, his office is coordinating with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to evaluate the claims being circulated online and the reported harassment aimed at daycare workers. Brown urged anyone contacted by the journalists to contact local law enforcement or report the incident to the state’s Hate Crimes & Bias Incident Hotline or through the Attorney General’s reporting website.
Nick Brown is another Soros Attorney General and has a history of ignoring the Constitution. He hates the 2nd Amendment and now he seems ready to try and suppress the 1st Amendment. If someone comes up to a person, identifies themselves as journalists and provides their name, they can ask all the questions they like. The target of the questions doesn’t have to respond at all and the questioner, if on private property, must leave if told to do so by the owner. What it sounds like is Brown is once again moving to protect a group that may be committing felonies and stealing billions of dollars.
Brown added, “Showing up on someone’s porch, threatening, or harassing them isn’t an investigation. Neither is filming minors who may be in the home. This is unsafe and potentially dangerous behavior.”
From what I’ve been seeing, this isn’t what is happening. You’re having independent journalists going through records, examining locations and then approaching individuals and asking questions. We’re already starting to see threats from Somalis in Minnesota towards Nick Shirley because he blew their whole scheme right out of the water. I suspect that we’re going to see a lot of calls to this hot line accusing individual reporters of everything under the sun and this Progressive bonehead is going to lap it up.
“If you think fraud is happening, there are appropriate measures to report and investigate,” he said, pointing people toward DCYF resources. “And where fraud is substantiated and verified by law enforcement and regulatory agencies, people should be held accountable.”

We’re already finding out how well that worked in Minnesota. It turns out that Walz and Ellison, not only ignored reports, but appear to have suppressed them and gone after the whistleblowers.
However, many noted that the DCYF failed to notice discrepancies on its own website, including missing addresses, licenses, and other data, yet still received large sums in taxpayer funding, which is what the journalists are investigating.
Brown’s statement follows a surge of investigations by independent journalists who say Washington may be dealing with the early warning signs of a daycare subsidy scandal similar to what was previously uncovered in Minnesota by journalist Nick Shirley, whose reporting highlighted alleged fraud in Minnesota daycare networks.
Nick Shirley’s report is on top of the Feed our Future scandal now being prosecuted by the United States Attorney. (With no help from the Minnesota Attorney general’s office) Shirley’s report has gone viral with something like 100 million views. What made it take off was the sign on one of the so called daycare sites that misspelled the word “Learning.”
On Tuesday, a new investigative report claimed to uncover daycare fraud involving Somali-run home daycare operations in Washington State. Journalists Cam Higby and Jonathan Choe investigated the Dhagash Childcare, which is listed as a licensed daycare, but a resident at the address told the pair that no such childcare business had ever operated at the location. State records show the location as licensed and receiving taxpayer funds.
Uh Oh!! These people better watch out! Nick Brown is going to come after them!!
Choe spoke to a woman inside the home through the doorbell and asked whether the location was “Dhagash Family Childcare.” The woman responded: “No.” Choe then asked what childcare business operated there. “I don’t have childcare,” the woman replied. When asked whether the location had ever served as a daycare, she again responded: “No.”
Yep, under Brown’s definition, asking two questions was clearly harassment.

Despite those denials, Washington records list the address as a daycare, and the business also appears listed as a daycare on Google. According to the investigation, the business received more than $210,000 in taxpayer funds in 2025 alone and is licensed to hold up to nine children.
This appears to have been the standard modus operandi of a lot of these fake daycare centers. Register it at some drop box and collect the checks.
A neighbor approached and told them the residents had contacted her to confront the journalists because they believed they were immigration enforcement.
Oh that’s amusing! The Post Millennial story has a picture of Higby and the last thing he looks like is an ICE officer. No identification, no jacket, no badge and he identified himself as a reporter not a federal agent. Those guys would have shown up with guns.
That interaction led Higby to raise additional questions about who may be operating the daycare, but the neighbor told them she had not seen daycare activity at the residence.
Choe and Higby’s investigation followed investigative reporter Carleen Johnson of The Center Square, who posted about visiting four Somali-run daycare homes in Federal Way, Washington, that receive taxpayer subsidies. “Just went to four Somali-run home daycare centers in Federal Way, WA that receive taxpayer subsidies,” she wrote. “Just like Nick Shirley found in MN, there were no children and no one willing to chat with this reporter. They threatened me with police.”
I can see why they threatened to call the cops, or in this case the Attorney General’s office. It’s beginning to look more and more like these Democrat AG’s are aiding and abetting the commission of a crime.
Kristen Mag, who assisted Choe and Higby in their investigation, raised broader systemic concerns, noting Washington has 539 childcare centers listing Somali as the primary language and “most don’t even give a street address.”
One of the things that any state is supposed to do is regular inspections of these daycare centers. We’re now learning that these inspections, many that are supposed to be no notice, never happened. Now being the conspiratorial sort that I am, I’m wondering if the Bondi DoJ and the FBI need to expand the investigation into these state agencies that are supposed to be monitoring these daycare centers.
For some reason, the Democrats appear to be actively backing the Somalis over Americans, even when there is an obvious criminal action that has occurred.
The reporting comes after it was revealed that Ubax Gardheere, a Somali candidate for King County Council in 2021, who previously threatened to blow up a school bus full of children and was later arrested for allegedly assaulting parents during a school drop-off, received campaign donations from daycare businesses in Minnesota.
Rather than address the allegations and promise an investigation, Governor Bob Ferguson and Seattle mayor-elect Katie Wilson, among other Washington officials, doubled down on support for the Somali community.

Ferguson was just sworn in as as governor of Washington. However prior to this, he was the Attorney General. Considering all the fraud that has been discovered in Minnesota and other states, I wonder how much is going to be found in Washington State? If past events in other states holds true for Washington State, I suspect they are going to get hit and hard.
If and when things come to a head, I won’t be at all surprised if a number of state officials, both elected and appointed, aren’t indicted. Right now it looks like Minnesota Govno Walz and Attorney General Ellison are in the DoJ crosshairs. If the progressive pinheads of Washington State move to protect certain ethnic groups who have a record of committing fraud, they are going to learn exactly what FAFO really means.
