Good day all. Thanks to yet another Schumer Shutdown, several groups of employees who are critical to needs haven’t been paid in over a month. This includes the TSA. Because of this, TSA employees are literally in danger of going bankrupt. Why is all this happening? Because the Democrats want to protect illegal aliens.
Because of UpChuck Schumer and the Democrats hatred of President Trump and the American people, they refuse to reopen the government and pay the employees who’s union has been supporting the Democrat Party. It’s now reaching the point that the nation’s airports and travel hubs may have to be shut down.
As far as the Democrats are concerned, this is fine. They are going to do whatever it takes to protect the criminals they let into this country and are preying on Citizens and lawful resident aliens. This has led Elon Musk to make an offer to temporarily cover the salaries of the TSA personnel. Here are some of the details from Fox Business News:
Elon Musk offered to cover the salaries of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel during the ongoing government funding standoff.
“I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country,” Musk said in an X post on Saturday morning.
Musk’s offer comes as a partial government shutdown passes one month, with lawmakers unable to reach a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees the TSA.
I have long said that the DHS should never have come into being and should be disbanded. The TSA was never anything more than a feel good security measure after the 9/11 attack 25 years ago. However, they exist for now and they are in place to handle things like airport security. They should be paid until the whole thing is wound down and formally disbanded.
Musk’s offer appeared aimed at easing the strain as airport lines grow and staffing pressures build.
There is some precedent for Musk’s offer. During the last shutdown, where the Democrats decided to destroy the military, private donations came in to help tide the troops over until the Democrats finally gave up.
It remains unclear how Musk’s proposed arrangement would work or whether it would be legally possible for a private individual to fund federal workers.
I can see the potential issue, however, this is an emergency situation. If the government needs to, once the latest Schumer Shutdown is ended, they can repay Elon Musk. Now why this is a problem is simple. There would be the appearance that Elon Musk might be trying to basically bribe TSA employees for special treatment.
Obviously, this isn’t the case. As far as I know, the TSA and DHS do not handle any security for SpaceX. Also, I don’t think that Elon Musk travels all that much by commercial airlines, and has his own private jet. The TSA doesn’t handle private flights, so there would be no benefit there. This is Elon Musk, a naturalized American Citizen trying to once again pay back the United States for everything it’s done for him. Yep, yet another reason for the libtarded Democrats to hate him.
