Good day all. Now that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have gone into airports to assist with the security screenings. The usual suspects on the left are screaming about ICE looking to shoot up airports. What’s actually happening is that the multi-hour waiting lines have dropped to minutes in many cases.
This hasn’t stopped the Philadelphia Soros District Attorney, Larry Krasner from once again threatening ICE agents who are doing their job. Here are the details from Townhall.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who hasn’t met a violent criminal he didn’t want to set loose, has finally found a group of people he wants to arrest: ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws. Krasner has called the men and women working for ICE “Nazis” and vowed to file state charges against them so President Trump can’t protect them with a pardon. The Supreme Court recently threw a wrench into those plans, but it seems Krasner is unfazed by that ruling, because he’s now saying he’ll arrest any ICE agents working at the Philadelphia airport.
“This is how it works. You commit crimes within the jurisdiction that is the city and county of Philadelphia, I prosecute you,” Krasner said.
Obviously, Krasner still hasn’t read the sovereignty clause in the Constitution and still thinks he has jurisdiction. I’ve commented before on his threats. He makes them so often that it’s become a standing headline. He never actually tries to carry out his threats since he knows that the local police won’t obey the order to arrest the agents, and that Krasner himself will be the one taken into custody. What Krasner is good at is releasing hardened criminals so they can continue their activities.
“That is how it works,” Krasner continued, “no, I don’t think a phone call from the President saying, ‘Let them go.’ No, the President cannot pardon you. I’ll say it again: the President cannot pardon you. And yes, I will put you in handcuffs, and I will put you in a courtroom, and if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell. If you decide to make the terrazzo floor of this airport anything like what you did in the streets of Minneapolis, which involved the criminal homicide of unarmed, innocent people. We are not having that here.”
Wrong Dumbass. It was the Democrats who initiated all the problems in Minnesota. Goode tried to run down a federal agent and did hit him and hard enough that he needed medical treatment. The other idiot? Showing up with a gun to a protest without your ID and state permit was stupid. Interfering with federal agents in the performance of their duties was stupid on stilts. As to the shooting, I haven’t heard anything new. It may have been an uncommanded discharge of Pretti’s Sig P320 which caused the other agents to think they were being fired on.
Krasner’s idiocy is also on display in a Fox News article.
Krasner claimed ICE’s presence at airports and elsewhere has given foreigners cold feet.
He said the city saw 2,000 hotel rooms canceled for FIFA’s World Cup in June, and that he heard from Scottish fans that they would stay home because of high gas prices, airline ticket prices and the idea that their brogue could make them a target for ICE.
“There are Scottish soccer fans who do not want to come here for fear their accent will be overheard and they’re going to get a bunch of grief from ICE agents in the airports, which they’ve never experienced before. This is a direct economic hit to FIFA and all the cities where it applies. This is a direct economic hit to the city of Philadelphia.”
“It is just one more thing that this president is doing to basically wreck our economy. I wish he wouldn’t do it. Having said that, I cannot blame an ICE agent who is following orders, has come here and is standing in the corner, basically doing nothing,” he said, calling ICE’s work as TSA agents “stupid but lawful.”
They wouldn’t be needed if the Democrat Party would stop supporting illegal aliens and start supporting American citizens. As to that utter load of horse manure about Scots worrying they become targets of ICE because of their accents? All I can say is, were you born stupid or did you go to school and learn to be stupid?
Now for a few facts. Since ICE started working in airports, wait times at the security check ins have plummeted. Now one has been arrested and the people are actually happy that the agents are there, especially the parents of a child who started choking. An ICE agent quickly came to the aid, did the Heimlich maneuver and cleared whatever it was that was lodged in the child’s throat. I’m sure Krasner would have been just fine if that child had suffocated to death.
As to his threats to arrest federal agents? That isn’t going to happen. As I mentioned above, getting the local or state police to try and arrest a federal agent who is doing his or her job won’t end well for the officers attempting the arrest. They might very well find themselves in cuffs, if they didn’t trigger a firefight between local and federal law enforcement. Then there is what would happen to Larry Krasner if he tried to arrest federal agents. He would find himself under arrest instead.
Krasner is a typical soft on crime Soros DA. He will use every means at his disposal to not put real criminals in jail. On the flip side, he will go after regular people who do things like protect themselves. His constant threats against federal agents may be finally crossing a line. Krasner needs to be removed from office at the very least. It’s only a matter of time, if it hasn’t happened already, before someone he should have put in jail but didn’t, kills someone.
