Iranian Islamic Republic launches IRBM’s, proving they lied…again

Good day all. As we close in on the 4th week of Epic Fury, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been, militarily, pretty much destroyed. The United States and Israel have complete air domination over Iran, and are now bombing IRGC roadblocks to allow the Iranian people to take to the streets.

Because of this, the remnants of the IRGC have grown desperate. They have “Closed” the Straits of Hormuz, (For now), and recently launched a type of missile they denied having, an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile or IRBM. The two missiles were aimed at the base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. One missile failed and the other was shot down by a Navy Standard missile.

However, the missiles that Iran launched should not have existed. Iran had denied even developing them. Obviously, they lied. These missiles could hit most of Europe and a good chunk of Russia and possibly China. There is only one reason to develop missiles of this type, to arm them with Nuclear Warheads. This has opened up a major can of worms for those who had thought that we shouldn’t have taken up Iran’s offer of war. Here are the details from Fox News:

The Islamic Republic of Iran significantly escalated its war effort against the U.S. with its launch of two intermediate-range ballistic missiles on Friday toward Diego Garcia, a key U.S.-U.K. military base in the Indian Ocean.

The targeting of Diego Garcia, roughly 2,500 miles from Iran, means Tehran’s missile capabilities appear to have exceeded previously acknowledged limits.

In the period leading up to Operation Epic Fury Feb. 28, Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed, “We intentionally kept the range of our missiles below 2,000 kilometers so we don’t have that capability. And we don’t want to do that because we do not have hostility against the United States people and all Europeans.”

I looked up Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and it looks like we haven’t sent him to molest his 72 virgin trans-gendered goats yet. I suspect that Israel or the United States just haven’t gotten around to reducing him to a pile of smoking carbon. However, he obviously lied when he said they had no intentions of building IRBMs.

On Saturday, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said, “Just yesterday, Iran launched a two-stage intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 4,000 kilometers [2,500 miles] toward an American target on the island of Diego Garcia. These missiles were not intended to hit Israel. Their range reaches the capitals of Europe — Berlin, Paris and Rome are all within direct threat range.”

You might also add Moscow to that list. While there is no evidence that Iran would do something as stupid as launching a missile at Moscow, that they have the capability, or did, has to be making certain policy makers in Russia having some discussions regarding allying with Iran.

Jason Brodsky, the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), told Fox News Digital, “The Trump administration, in citing Iran’s missile threat as a rationale for Operation Epic Fury, was therefore justified in its decision to undertake military action as Iran has consistently refused to negotiate over its missile program.

Iran also lied about it’s nuclear weapons program. While the United States pretty much pummeled the underground centers they were using to enrich uranium, it appears we might not have buried all of the actual material. Some of it may have been moved prior to the strike. During the pre-Epic Fury negotiations, Iran announced they had enough Uranium to build 11 bombs and that it wouldn’t take much to complete the enrichment process for that material. Now we know they were also working on a delivery system as well.

“I think it’s a message that the IRGC is in charge in Iran after Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s death,” Brodsky said. “When Khamenei was alive, he limited the range of Iran’s missile program to 2,000 kilometers. Khamenei recounted in 2018 how he had rejected overtures from IRGC commanders seeking to increase the range to as much as 5,000 kilometers.

I seriously doubt that Khamenei told the IRGC not to develop long range missiles. He probably told them not to test them since everyone would see them launched and decide to take action.

The two long-range Iranian missiles did not hit the base, but the attempted attack marked a significant expansion of Iran’s reach beyond the Middle East and toward a major U.S. strategic hub. One missile reportedly failed in flight, while a U.S. warship launched an SM-3 interceptor at the other, officials said. It was not immediately clear whether the interception was successful. The remote base is a critical launch point for U.S. bombers, nuclear submarines and other strategic assets.

I wouldn’t call it a significant expansion. I would call it a sign of desperation. I suspect that those two missiles were prototypes that they had on hand and they simply decided to use them before they lost them. It’s possible they have a few others, however I doubt they have them assembled and ready to go.

Ilan Berman, vice president of the American Foreign Policy Council in Washington, D.C., told Fox News Digital, “The launch hammers home the president’s point about Iran being an imminent threat. It’s easy for casual observers to ignore, but the increasing maturity of Iran’s strategic programs, plural, has been exponentially expanding the threat that the Islamic Republic poses beyond the Middle East.

“That is what Epic Fury is seeking to address. The administration believes, absolutely correctly in my view, that these types of capabilities cannot be left in the hands of a radical, predatory regime.

One of the things that certain idiots have been saying is that Iran was not an imminent threat. They weren’t an imminent threat. It’s hard to be an imminent threat when you are actually an ONGOING threat.

“Despite its public denials, it’s been clear that the Iranian regime has been working on expanding the range of its ballistic missile capabilities for years. The launch toward Diego Garcia confirms that it has made real progress toward that goal and is already able to put targets in the same range as Central and Eastern Europe at risk. Moreover, it’s clear that the regime is seeking still greater capabilities and that, if left intact, Iran’s ballistic missiles would attain intercontinental range soon.”

One of the things that far to many people refuse to see is what would happen if Iran succeeded in developing nuclear weapons. Once Iran had a functioning weapon design, they would ramp up production of nuclear weapons and the methods to deliver them to everyone who they see as the enemy. Now, of course, everyone does this, including the United States.

There is one very big difference between everyone else and Iran. If Iran developed nuclear weapons, they would use them in a first strike. The targets would be Israel of course and the United States. What many people believed, if Iran was stupid enough to launch a first strike, was that Iran would need to smuggle their weapons into the United States. That would have opened up possibilities that the United States would detect and stop them.

The same reasoning was in place for Europe as well. The IRBM’s they launched put paid to that reasoning. If Iran had 20 or more weapons, they would have blasted Israel and probably launched missiles into Europe. Add to that building and deploying ICBM’s, they could also hit the United States as well.

“Europe is absolutely at risk as the recent launch makes clear,” Berman said. “I wouldn’t say that a failure to recognize this to date has been due to a grand deception by Tehran, though. It is more attributable to willful blindness on the part of European elites about the extent of the threat that the Iranian regime poses as well as undue faith in diplomacy and arms control in containing it.”

You know, as horrible as multiple nuclear strikes into Europe, and the probable destruction of cities such as Berlin, Paris and London, it would put an end to the Eurotrash Elites of the World Economic Forum, etc, once and for all. Those who weren’t turned into radioactive ash would probably end up strung up on lampposts by an enraged Europe.

As it is, the launching of those missiles at Diego Garcia, while a legitimate military target, has pretty much shut up a lot of the stuffed shirt Eurotrash elitists. It’s also shown a number of AINO’s, (Americans in Name Only), in the American Legacy Media and the Democrat party that maybe it’s time for them to just shut up. They won’t of course.

Currently, it looks like the United States and Israel are basically in the “Mop up” phase of Epic Fury. They have started running out of targets to hit. Right now the U.S. is trying to give the Iranian people every opportunity to drive the IRGC and the remnants of the Iranian government out and put in a new government that isn’t a threat to the entire world and doesn’t use protesters for target practice.

While the U.S. Marines are moving into the region, it’s unlikely they will be landing anywhere. No one wants American “Boots on the Ground.” However, if they are used to simply raid areas to capture or destroy specific targets, (Such as any nuclear material), and then pull out? That may be acceptable. As it is, Iran’s ability to target other countries has been seriously degraded. This especially includes their ballistic missile program.
