University of Maryland Student Government supports tyranny

Good day all. As I write this, the United States military is busy blowing the snot out of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Personally, I’m one of those who thinks this was a long time coming and should have been done decades ago. However, there are those who think that destroying an evil regime is wrong.

One of these groups is the Student Government of the University of Maryland. They have announced their support for the Islamic Republic. Here are the details from Campus Reform:

Student leaders at the University of Maryland-College Park (UMCP) have reportedly introduced a new resolution pledging solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Members of the Student Government Association (SGA)—which represents the student body—introduced the resolution on March 4 following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on the dictatorial regime in Iran. The resolution condemns American intervention in Iran.

We aren’t “Intervening” in Iran, we are destroying their ability to conduct terrorist operation and attacks on the United States, Israel and anyone else they don’t like.

The SGA calls upon the US, Israel, Iran, and all other involved international parties to establish an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East,” reads the resolution, in part.

But wait, as the say, there’s more! These traitors also want Nicholas Maduro released and returned to Venezuela.

It also condemns the January capture of Venezuelan dictator and cartel gangbanger Nicolás Maduro, who was arrested on charges of international drug trafficking. It reads, in part, “The SGA condemns unprovoked US military intervention against Iran, Venezuela, and all countries around the world.”

The SGA stands in solidarity with all Iranian victims of US and Israeli strikes, as well as state repression, and their loved ones,” it continues.

The only victims of Epic Fury are the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian government and whoever is currently the Supreme Leader. As for repression? It’s the Islamic Republic of Iran that is repressing the people. Since the United States and Israel are currently blowing the snot out of the government, the Iranian people are becoming unrepressed. But you don’t really care to admit that, do you?

Despite the fact that Iranians worldwide celebrated the coordinated strikes and subsequent Feb. 28 death of dictator Ayatollah Khamenei, the resolution feigns support for Iranians*’ right to “self-determination” of their own political futures “without foreign interference or coercion.”

So the Student Government has no problem with the IRGC and other components of the Iranian Islamic Government slaughtering tens of thousands of protesters? People who were protesting the government? You are also ignoring all the Iranians, both outside and inside of Iran who are doing the Trump Dance in celebration of the air strikes? Why am I not surprised?

Finally, the resolution calls on the university to divest from any and all entities “responsible for the manufacture and distribution of arms used in unlawful strikes against Iran and Venezuela to the US and Israel.”

As far as current information confirms, the resolution has not yet been voted on.

I’m not sure how that voting process works, whether its school wide or just the members of the student government.

Zyad Khan is listed as the sponsor of the resolution. According to his LinkedIn, he is a computer science student at the university.

The Diamondback reports that Khan sponsored several resolutions last semester condemning a university event featuring Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers. He said at the time that he wants to see change so that “genociders or any more criminals” are not allowed on the campus.

The article goes on to list all the others involved and none of them will surprise you. I’m not even sure how many of these people are actual United States citizens. I did look up the Student Government page on the university web site. Looking at these morons, you can tell that none of them have any idea how the real world works.

My first thought, other then posting the publicly available web site, was to do some serious work in identifying these idiots and then sending out messages to potential employers that they might want to review just who they may be considering for employment. However, that’s to much like work, and I suspect any company that hires them will find out fairly quickly just who these people are and decide on next steps.

I’m sorry to say that in my opinion, none of these people can be trusted in any positions of authority. They are flat out supporting people and governments that never hesitated to repress, torture and kill anyone that opposed them. I have no doubt at all, if these idiots ever got any power, they would do the same to anyone who opposed their ideas.

Right now, they are in the “FA” part of FAFO. They need to learn just what “Find Out” really means. If any of them are exchange students, then they need to be sent home now. As for the University of Maryland? If you are looking to go to college, I would pass this one by.
