Good day all. Over the last 10-20 years, we have seen the Democrats basically take control of several states. These have become known as the “Blue” States. These states have, for all intents and purposes, torn up the Constitution of the United States as well as their own states. (Or amended them beyond any real recognition)
Now this is where things get interesting. In Democrat controlled states, it’s the major cities that are their centers of power. If you look at election maps for many states, including Kalifornistan, you will see big blobs of blue surrounded by a sea of red.
The problem is that those blue blobs contain the majority of the population and the red or Republican counties end up not just underrepresented, but in many cases, unrepresented in the state legislatures. These are people who, for instance, believe in the right to keep and bear arms. (The Second Amendment) They also do not support the protection by the Democrats of illegal aliens and other criminals.

Things started coming to a head a few years ago with the “Greater Idaho” project. Eastern Oregon is pretty solidly moderate to conservative. They have nothing in common with the western cities. Because of this, several counties started looking at seceding from Oregon and joining Idaho. Now this idea is starting to spread, especially in Illinois. Here are the details from Just the News:
Voters in seven Illinois counties have a chance to join 33 others that approved referendums to consider forming a new state apart from Cook County. Measures will be on the ballot this November in Coles, Gallatin, Hamilton, Henderson, Macoupin, Monroe and Saline counties.

I was not aware of this movement in Illinois until I came across this story. I started looking into things and unsurprisingly it’s the counties in the southern part of the state.
State Rep. Brad Halbrook, R-Shelbyville, said citizens are frustrated with what’s happening in Springfield.
“They don’t see that anything’s going to change for the positive, and when I speak about that, you know, it’s the SAFE-T Act, it’s the Protect Illinois Communities Act, the other social issues,” Halbrook told The Center Square.
One of the things that fat slob Govno has been doing is tearing up the 2nd Amendment, all the while making it far more dangerous for average citizens to live their lives. He’s also taxing everything into oblivion.
Halbrook said Gov. J.B. Pritzker has added over 60 new taxes in eight years.
“Billions of dollars have been transferred from citizens, from businesses into state budgets or into the state treasury,” Halbrook said.
And that has led to a number of businesses pulling up stakes and bailing out of Illinois. Regular people are also leaving since they can’t afford to remain in the state. Now entire counties are looking to secede since they don’t see a path forward that can correct the state’s decline.
Halbrook proposed a resolution that goes farther than the ballot measures and urges Congress to declare 101 of Illinois’ 102 counties the 51st state in the U.S.

That one county that is being excluded is Cook County. It’s Cook County that is the major cause of the problems Illinois is currently facing. Why? Chicago. Chicago has long been controlled by the Democrat Party and since Richard J. Daley, who died in office, things have gone solidly into the dumpster The last two mayors, Lori Lightfoot and currently Brandon Johnson have demonstrated levels of incompetence rarely seen outside of a Third World banana republic. That county wields an inordinate amount of control over the rest of the state, to the detriment of pretty much everyone else.
The Indiana legislature has advanced bills to consider bringing Illinois counties into the Hoosier state. Last year, an Iowa state lawmaker proposed a bill to bring several western Illinois counties into the Hawkeye state.
This matches what is going on with the Greater Idaho project. The Idaho legislature has agreed with the counties immigrating to Idaho. Obviously, the Oregon communists are dead set against allowing anyone to flee the workers paradise they are constructing. The last I saw, they weren’t even considering a vote.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has referred to the prospect of Illinois counties leaving as a stunt.

Halbrook said separating from Cook County would be an uphill battle, because Democrats in the super majority will not let his resolution move forward.
“We need to have a conversation at a minimum. I think that’s what’s important. Why do people want to do this? Why do they not want to stay here in the state of Illinois? What we’re seeing this spring and summer in real time, even the Chicago Bears are discussing moving to a neighboring state of Indiana. Why is that happening?” Halbrook said.
The issue is that the Democrats don’t care. They don’t consider anything you might want to discuss to be relevant to their goals of absolute power. As to the Bears leaving Illinois? If there were some what for the State to seize the team and block them from leaving, they would do it in a heartbeat.
When asked about trying to effect change in Cook County instead of pushing for separation from Illinois, Halbrook said the dynamic would change if legislation changes.
“But that’s not the priority of the super majority. We’re seeing their priorities, which lead to these higher costs, these many other things that we’ve discussed here,” Halbrook said.
Illinois is a clear case of what happens to a state when the blue cities gain control. They will make sure they never give it up. While I applaud the counties for trying to leave, since they can’t affect change any other way, in the end, it won’t matter. The Democrats will not allow their slaves to escape and they are well on their way, with the assistance of corrupt members of the judicial branch to deny the citizens the ability to defend themselves against both criminals and the government.
Now it’s possible that the Congress might force the State to allow the counties to leave. There is precedent. West Virginia is made up of counties that didn’t want to be part of the Confederacy so congress let them become a state in the Union. We may need to do something like this again. The alternative?
