Good day all. A few weeks ago, I posted an entry regarding the DoJ impaneling a Grand Jury to investigate Neville Roy Singham. The short version is that Singham is allegedly working for the People’s Republic of China to destroy the United States.
It’s alleged that Singham is financing what amounts to terrorist groups attacking Federal Agents, primarily ICE agents. Now the usual suspects on the Left are going off the deep end that one of their sugar daddies might be criminally charged and the money tap being shut off. Here are the details from Fox News:
Prominent far-left figures, including livestream influencer Hasan Piker, are rallying around a pro-China media outlet within the sprawling network bankrolled by communist tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham – casting recent congressional subpoenas as leading a “McCarthy-style” witch hunt against the left.
Yeah, they might want to revisit that whine about McCarthy. While McCarthy was a complete scumbag, he also turned out to be pretty much right about how far the Soviet Union had infiltrated the United States. (The Venona Project, the Mitrokhin Archive) McCarthy was also dead wrong in other cases as well.
As Fox News Digital first reported Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee sent subpoenas to three nonprofits, including media outlet BreakThrough News, as part of a wider investigation into alleged malign foreign influence by China in U.S. politics. The three groups have received about $39 million from Singham, who left the U.S. several years ago to live in China.
Not just him, his wife is one of the founders of the Communist group Code Pink. They’re both in Shanghai and are, allegedly, working with the Chinese Ministry of State Security.
The other two groups are the People’s Forum Inc., a New York-based activist and political-education hub, and Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research, a think tank that says its work is anchored in “national liberation Marxism.”
Hours after Fox News Digital reported the subpoenas, pro-communist influencers and organizations mounted a social media defense of BreakThrough News, echoing similar-phrased attacks on the congressional investigation.
Gee, what a surprise, I’m completely shocked that commies would come to the defense of their communist paymaster.
Among them were Piker, a prominent Twitch streamer and political commentator, and Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CodePink, a pro-communist, pro-China nonprofit that has received Singham money.
Hasan Piker is one reason that we need to shut down birthright citizenship. He was born in the United States but grew up in Turkey. He’s about as American in his thinking as Fidel Castro’s bother, Raul. As for this Medea Benjamin, she should be in prison for treason. (Sometimes the constitutional definition of treason really sucks)
Piker called the subpoenas “the McCarthy trials,” invoking the anti-communist Congressional investigations of the 1950s, led by Sen. Joe McCarthy.
“They will come for you,” Piker warned on X.
Piker, as I said before, is an American in name only. He also doesn’t seem to understand that calling anything that goes after communism is McCarthyism just doesn’t have the impact it did 40 years ago.
Responding to BreakThrough News host Rania Khalek appeal for support and donations, Benjamin called the move a “terrible attack on independent journalism,” adding, “We stand with you!!!”
Independent journalism? Don’t make me laugh. While I have never looked at BreakThrough News, it probably makes CNN and ABC look like bastions of journalistic neutrality. I’ll let others give them a once over and respond in the comments.
In March, Piker, Benjamin and Evans traveled to Cuba to rally support for the island nation’s communist government.
Yeah that went over like a lead balloon with the people of Cuba. These spoiled brats stayed in a Hotel specifically set up to cater to foreign nationals. The hotel also has it’s own generator and they were using fuel that could have been used to power a Cuban hospital. These loons won’t talk about that of course.
Fox News Digital previously reported that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control is investigating whether they violated U.S. sanctions restricting dealings with Cuba, according to sources familiar with the inquiry.
They probably did. I don’t’ know what the status of that investigation is though. This isn’t surprising since the Trump Administration doesn’t broadcast the status of an investigation until they either conclude there is nothing there or arrests are made.
Their warnings about political repression come despite longstanding restrictions on dissent and independent media under the communist governments of Cuba and China.
Like all Manhattan Marxists, these commies have no problem with suppressing anything they don’t like. They were fine with the blatant suppression of the Constitutional rights of Americans under the Biden maladministration and are actively working to get a Communist government installed in the United States. I gather they never studied history and learned what happens to people like them in a new communist regime. Generally, they’re the first up against a wall.
The synchronized defense illustrates how organizations and personalities tied to the Singham network can rapidly mobilize around a common message, just as they’ve done in the past to oppose everything from data centers to President Donald Trump, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the war with Iran, Israel and the U.S. arrest of Venezuela strongman Nicholas Maduro.
That should tell you everything you need to know about these groups. They are dedicated to the destruction of the United States and are actively working with foreign powers that are hostile to the United States. If they were actually honest, they would be talking about the allegations. They aren’t.
Rather than addressing the committee’s allegations about foreign-linked funding, financial transparency and compliance with congressional document requests, many of the network’s most prominent voices characterized the investigation as political persecution, invoking themes of the “red scare,” “McCarthyism,” “censorship” and a broader “war on the left.”
This is all right out of the old Communist playbook. It’s not even original. It’s also showing that this isn’t some local groups, it’s global.
By Thursday night, the counterpropaganda campaign went global with the World Socialist Website, a pro-communism platform, parroting the rhetoric of the Singham network and blasting the “anti-communist witchhunting” to its readers.
I haven’t seen anything like this since the days of the Cold War and the nuclear freeze movement. Back then, it was all run out of Moscow. When the Soviet Union collapsed, a lot of these groups faded away as the money dried up. Now it looks like the Communist Chinese government has decided to pick up the slack and Singham is acting as their money man. I would be interested in seeing Singhams balance sheets to determine if his “Donations” are being matched by payments from front companies based in China. Apparently, so does the DoJ. Considering the screaming by the communists, they might be worried that the allegations are, in fact, true. We shall see.

outside of Code Pink’s desperate support of China, Cuba and assorted Islamofascist countries in the Levant, I will note that they have been quite broad in making their cases directly in the faces of *both* sides of the aisle in power, as well as making Bernie’s life miserable on occasion.
One at least must admire that level of even handedness!
