It appears that Trump is shifting gears on Iran

Good day all. The latest “Cease fire” formally ended the other day, however no new attacks on Iran have happened. Many people are wondering what’s going on and Iran, as usual, is claiming they won. However, it looks like the Trump Administration is working on a new strategy.

One of the issues with continuing the bombing until a lasting peace is achieved is that it looks like the United States has run out of targets. There simply isn’t anything worth expending expensive weapons on just to bounce the rubble. Now it looks like President Trump is moving to a new plan, one that he is initiating something reminiscent of President Lincoln’s the Anaconda Plan in the Civil War. Here are the details from Newsmax:

President Donald Trump seems to have adopted a new, more deliberate approach in the war with Iran, CNN reported Wednesday.

Trump told his top envoys to halt conversations with Tehran, while White House officials told political allies the administration is shifting from seeking to “hammer Iran ASAP” to seeking to “strangle them” over time by economically squeezing the regime, according to CNN.

This would explain the latest headline on Fox News. It reports that the United Arab Emirates is suspending all trade and financial business with Iran. It also makes a lot of sense. Iran’s main exports are oil to the world and weapons to Russia. (Provided the Ukrainians don’t learn about the shipments and blow it up)

The change follows weeks of frustration over stalled diplomacy and Iran’s refusal to meet Trump’s demands, particularly over the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

“There are no talks or conversations going on, or scheduled, with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Trump wrote Tuesday on Truth Social, adding that the U.S. naval blockade “remains in full force and effect.”

I think it’s finally sunk in with the Administration that Iran lies, and will simply keep talking and making demands hoping the United States will get bored and leave. In the past, this would work, especially when we were being “Proportional” in our responses to Iran.

The United States is expected to impose new sanctions on Iran, while War Secretary Pete Hegseth has said U.S. forces are prepared to enforce the blockade of Iranian ports indefinitely.

Trump has also opposed proposals that could give Iran greater control over Hormuz, including plans that would allow fees to be collected from vessels passing through the waterway.

Iran has been claiming that not just the Strait of Hormuz is their, but the entire Gulf. The Arab states, especially Saudi Arabia have been rather annoyed with that claim for a long time. While we think of it as the “Persian Gulf,” the Arab countries refer to it as the Arabian Gulf. Then there is the whole Sunni vs Shia religion thing.

The president wants the strait restored to its prewar status, with unrestricted international shipping.

Which, of course, everyone but Iran wants. However, President Trump decided to go into full Troll mode and claimed that Hormuz was now American.

Trump took his rhetoric a step further Tuesday by posting a map labeling Hormuz “new US territory.

The declaration did not represent a formal change in the waterway’s status but underscored the president’s determination not to concede control to Tehran.

It was just another of President Trump’s trolls. He and the United States really have no interest in the Strait of Hormuz or the Arabian Gulf. We don’t get any, or very little from the gulf states. It’s Europe, China and Asia that gets a lot of their oil through Hormuz.

Iran, meanwhile, insists the strait will remain closed until Washington lifts its blockade and meets other conditions, while Tehran has rejected Trump’s claims of American control.

Of course, the Iranians swallowed President Trump’s troll, hook, line, sinker and rod. I expect nothing less from those who fornicate with Capra hircus. Great intellects they are not.

Despite pressure to find an off-ramp after months of fighting, Trump has resisted calls to rush an agreement.

And he shouldn’t. Most of this is coming from the Chablis drinking surrender monkeys in the Democrat party, most of whom are actively supporting Iran. Then you have the spineless RINO’s who are concerned about how this will reflect on them and their reelection chances. As for President Trump?

We need to put paid to Iran, once and for all. With most of the military infrastructure destroyed, the only thing left to his would be the civilian infrastructure. That would be power plants, the oil infrastructure such as Kharg Island, road, bridges and everything a modern society needs to function. In short, all that we had left would be to skip bombing then into the stone age and blasting the Iranians back into the trees. That would have completely collapsed Iran and caused a major humanitarian crises. Instead, were moving to simply starving Iran out.

I expect there will be the occasional air/drone strike on Iran, especially if they decide to continue removing the leadership teams until someone with common sense and a desire not to be reduced to organic mush takes over. I also suspect that there will be Special Forces teams in place trying to stir up as much trouble as possible. One thing that way to may people aren’t paying attention to is our actual goals. We aren’t looking for regime change. We are looking for regime destruction. Destroy the butchers in charge and let the Iranian people decide what they want as a government.

This is how things are supposed to work. If something isn’t working, try something else. We’ve pretty much destroyed Iran’s military. We’ve been trying to negotiate an agreement. Now we’re just going to make it impossible for them to do any business and make any money. It’s going to suck for the Iranian people, but they really need to step up and take out the trash.
