Supreme Court backs New Hampshire on voter ID

Good day all. There has been an ongoing fight between the State of New Hampshire, Liberals and the federal courts over New Hampshire’s voter ID laws. Generally, when you appear at a polling station, you are required to show your ID before they give you a ballot. It’s been this way for decades and only those interested in Voter and Election fraud or theft are opposed to it.

Recently, there was an attempt to allow Student ID’s to be used as a form of valid ID when you go to vote. New Hampshire flat out said no and for very good reasons. Literally anyone can get a Student ID with no proof of citizenship. The New Hampshire Legislature passed a bill expressly forbidding the use of a student ID as a form of identification valid for voting. Governor signed into law and almost immediately there was a court challenge. Last week, it reached the Supreme Court and the law was upheld, 8-1. Here are the details from Fox News:

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday allowed New Hampshire officials to reject student IDs as a valid form of identification when voters cast their ballots in next month’s midterm elections.

A lower court judge previously found that state officials had improperly gone further than a new law restricting the use of student IDs to obtain a ballot, ruling that officials still had to consider student IDs alongside other evidence when voters lacked other means of verifying their identity.

There was so much wrong with that decision it’s not funny. For almost 2 years the Federal Government has been trying to secure elections. One of these revolves around voter ID. Generally, a state issued drivers license or official state ID is sufficient, especially with the advent of Real ID. A student ID does not meet any of the federal standards. You can’t even use it to buy booze. That some smooth brained judge can’t understand this is yet another reason people are losing any faith in the judicial branch.

But the Supreme Court took issue with the judge intervening this close to the elections.

The high court has said orders handed down too close to an election can cause voter confusion, an idea known as the Purcell Principle. The court cited the recent legal back-and-forth over Missouri’s redistricting maps.

“Here, the District Court did not point to anything that would justify deviating from that principle,” the majority wrote in its opinion.

It would have been rather hard for the district court judge to provide the real justification. To allow the Democrats to cheat. Now I did look up this case, and the judge who issued the original ruling was appointed by George W. Bush. I looked him up and there is nothing exciting about him. However, he had to know how this would look, especially with all the arrests of noncitizen voters that has been going on of late.

In any case, the State of New Hampshire appealed to the Supreme Court and the decision was overturned unanimously, 8-1. Eight to one you ask? How can that be considered a unanimous decision? Take a wild guess at which justice voted to uphold the lower court’s decision.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented, saying the rule did not apply since the lower court judge was helping ensure the public received accurate information.

“When a federal court determines that material misrepresentations are being made about a State’s election rules, an injunction to prohibit that conduct does not contribute to public confusion, it prevents that very problem,” Jackson wrote. “I would not disturb a clearly justifiable federal-court order issued to ensure that the public receives accurate information about a State’s electoral processes,” she wrote.

Once again, Ketjanji Brown Jackson gets it completely wrong. The removal of student ID’s from the approved list was done last April. There has been plenty of notice about it.

This comes after Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed House Bill 323 into law in April, removing student IDs from the list of identification expressly considered valid for obtaining a ballot. The law took effect June 2. After the law went into effect, New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan issued guidance to election officials about the change, and multiple trainings were held.

Honestly, I was surprised that student ID’s were even considered to be a valid from of identification. When I vote, I present my driver’s license with the Real ID tag on it. I also have a passport which I can present to prove citizenship. She Who Must Be Obeyed is not a United States citizen. Her driver’s license doesn’t have the Real ID tag on it. If she needs to go into a federal building, she has to present her green card. She is certainly not voting.

Once again, the Supreme Court has to clean up a mess made by the lower courts, and once again, Ketanji Brown Jackson has shown that she is utterly incompetent and just plain stupid. (More on her later) You know when she is wrong when the other two barking moonbats agree with the majority as they did in this case. When the election is held in a couple of weeks, I think we might see some of the fraud levels drop here. If students can’t prove that they’re residents, then they should go back to their home states and vote.

“Ketanji Brown Jackson has shown that she is utterly incompetent and just plain stupid.”  AKA even a caveman can do it.
