Mayor of new Haven CT. wants illegal aliens to vote

Good evening, I hope you haven’t eaten dinner yet because once you read this, you’re going to regurgitate your meal. New Haven mayor John DeStefano has said he wants to give the vote to illegal aliens.

No, I’m not kidding. Here are the details from the New Haven Independent:

As the federal government moves to deport more immigrants, Mayor John DeStefano disclosed a plan on an opposite track: To lobby the state legislature to allow all New Haven’s immigrants, including non-citizens, to vote in local elections.

DeStefano said he plans to lobby the state for a “resident voting rights” bill that would allow any resident of New Haven—regardless of immigration status—to vote in municipal elections in New Haven. He said he’ll launch the effort during this upcoming legislative session, which runs from February to May.

Perhaps Mayor DeStupido might want to read a few things first. You know, things like the Constitution and the Code of Laws of the United States of America and his Oath of Office to uphold these laws and the Constitution of the United States. Now, why do you think this idiot is trying to do this? He has many excuses of course.

The bill is about “how you define community, and how you define responsibility in community,” he said.

No stupid, it isn’t. You want to show a responsibility to the community? How about rounding up all those in the country illegally and handing them over to immigration?

DeStefano said the idea found favor this week in Westville, where he ran into an English couple living here on green cards without the right to vote in the States.

“You are the ones who argued about taxation without representation,” the couple said to him, he recalled. It’s only fair that all taxpayers have the right to vote, they argued. DeStefano said his bill would help not just undocumented immigrants, but those who might be here legally but don’t have the right to vote.

Here’s an idea for that couple. Why don’t you take the exams and become US Citizens? I, for one, would happily welcome you even if you do decide to vote for this putz ONCE YOU ARE CITIZENS! So, do you think this is going to get shot down by the state legislature? Not if this slimeball is any example:

He found some first-blush support with state Rep. Juan Candelaria of New Haven.“I agree with him that anyone who resides in the city of New Haven should have the ability to vote,” Candelaria said.

“I don’t know about the legalities, but if you work in the state, your kids attend local schools and you’ve been a resident for a fair amount of time, that would make sense.”

Now I could say something really nasty about Rep, Canelaria’s heritage, but that would be wrong on so many levels. Besides, by his statement that he doesn’t know the legalities automatically shows that he couldn’t care less about the laws he has sworn to uphold. This man and other like him need to be removed from office.

Now the big question is, why is Mayor DeStupidOne really doing this? I don’t know the political situation in Connecticut, but one of the commentators to the original article has an idea:

This takes the cake. He has no respect for our constitutions and laws. He squeezed by in the primary, came the closest he has ever come to being kicked out of office in the general election, and now wants to give illegal aliens the right to vote. Why, so he can be assured of reigning forever by whatever means. He reminds me of Hugo Chavez.

Oh by the way, did I mention that DeStupidOne is a Democrat? No? Well he is, and true to the modern Libtards way of thinking, “Do absolutely anything to gain and maintain absolute power, irregardless of things like the Constitution and the Rule of Law.”

Will this pass? Oh hell yes. Connecticut is just to the left of the old USSR ((Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)) Anything that smack of socialism is always welcome in that state. Connecticut, like pretty much all of the states under communist socialist totalitarian Marxist Progressive Liberal Democratic governments is all but broke. ((Connecticut does not have the funds to pay $63.5 Billion in commitments)) Do the wealthy liberals care? As long as it doesn’t effect them, hell no it doesn’t. They can always jet off to those places the “Beautiful people” ((Definition of BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE)) like to go. These types have a serious lack of concern with things like Patriotism and National Sovereign. They consider themselves to be Transnationalist ((Transnationalism)) and “Citizens of the World.” ((World Citizen))

Letting illegals into the country is fine with them, after all, someone needs to do their laundry and mow their lawns. Why not let them vote? It doesn’t matter to them one wit.

And they wonder why this country is beginning to tear its self apart at the seems.

Not that it will do any good of course, but if you live in that soon to be Third World Hellhole that used to be Connecticut, try calling your state representatives and toll them to shoot this idea down.
