Teacher tells student that “Disrespecting” Obama is a federal offense

Good day all, I’m a bit late with this, but the fallout from the original news story continues. It seems that a High School student attending a school in the Rowan-Salisbury school district in North Carolina, was told that he was committing a federal crime by not being respectful of President Barack Hussein “SCoaMF” Obama.

Well now, if this is the case, I would say 3/4^ths of people would be in jail right now, starting with Yours Truly. So what is the story here? It originally showed up on Breitbart.com along with a video of the incident. Here are the details from Breitbart:

YouTube video uploaded on Monday afternoon apparently shows a schoolteacher from the Rowan-Salisbury school district in North Carolina informing a student that failing to be respectful of President Obama is a criminal offense. Breitbart News has uncovered that the student is a high school junior, and that the teacher is apparently one Tanya Dixon-Neely.

Obviously, this “Teacher” failed basic Civics. Here’s all the good parts from Breitbart:

The video shows a classroom discussion about the Washington Post hit piece about Mitt Romney bullying a kid some five decades ago. One student says, “Didn’t Obama bully someone though?” The teacher says: “Not to my knowledge.” The student then cites the fact that Obama, in Dreams from My Father, admits to shoving a little girl. “Stop, no, because there is no comparison,” screams the teacher. Romney is “running for president. Obama is the president.”

And we’re off to the races!

The student responds that both are “just men.”

The teacher yells — literally yells — that Obama is “due the respect that every other president is due … Listen,” she continues, “let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.” She yells over the student repeatedly, and yells at him that it’s disrespect for him to even debate about Romney and Obama.

Would anyone care to guess with this nitwit moonbat had to say about President George Walker Bush a few years ago? The student then tries to inform this moron that he can say anything he wants regarding the President. To which Ms. Dixon-Neely replied:

“Not about him, you won’t,”

It goes downhill for this “teacher” from here.

The teacher then tells the student – wrongly – that it is a criminal offense to say bad things about a president. “Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush? Do you realize you are not supposed to slander the president?”

The student says that it would violate First Amendment rights to jail someone for such sentiments. “You would have to say some pretty f’d up crap about him to be arrested,” says the student. “They cannot take away your right to have your opinion … They can’t take that away unless you threaten the president.”

Three cheers for the student! He has actually read the constitution apparently and understands what the First Amendment, (With regards to freedom of speech), actually means. So how did the school handle this temper tantrum by the barking moonbat? At first, not to well.

The school district classified the exchange – which is obviously just another case of a pro-Obama teacher shoveling her views down students’ throats – a “learning experience.”

Ayup, and they would have left it at that and done nothing about this clown except for one small problem. Someone recorded the entire event.

Breitbart News has received information that the YouTube video was shot by a friend of the bullied student. According to our source, the student had asked his friend to record the discussion to “prove to his parents what he has been trying to tell them for some time. The teacher in this video has a long history of pushing a liberal agenda, by shouting down students. She is very intolerant of other points of view that she does not share. The atmosphere at this school is not very conducive to opposing views.”

Gee, ya think? This is a student with a brain and free will. Two things Moonbats absolutely will not tolerate. The parents apparently decided on a course of action.

The source continues, “The student’s parents have since taken him out of school and had him registered at another nearby school.”

Hopefully a school that has teachers who are actually competent rather than left wing propagandists. Of course, you want to see the video in question and who am I to deny you what you want to see? It’s a fairly long video and it’s mostly sound.

The school, of course, tried to bury this whole thing, but with the release of the video all hell broke loose. The school finally had no choice, what with this thing called “Overwhelming evidence” but to suspend this “teacher,” with full pay and benefits of course. No doubt once the outrage has died down, this incompetent communist will be back in the classroom screaming at anyone who disagrees with her.

The student, Hunter Rogers, who got into the “debate” with Dixon-Neely appeared on Fox News to talk about what happened. Here are some of the details:

The North Carolina high school student who was berated by his teacher after he spoke critically of President Obama told Fox News on Monday that he wanted to “laugh” when he heard the teacher suggest he could be arrested for criticizing a sitting president.

“Honestly, at the time I wanted to laugh at her, because I’ve been taught all my life that nobody can take your opinion,” Hunter Rogers said. He said he knew that it takes an actual threat against the president, not just criticism, to be arrested.

Rogers’ mother Gina told Fox News she was “shocked” when she heard the tape. She said her son had told stories about the classroom arguments, but she didn’t realize they were this “extreme.”

“I don’t feel the teacher should have started a political discussion if she wasn’t willing to hear both sides,” she said

It’s one thing to start a debate and use it to exercise your students minds. It’s quite another when you are nothing more than a loudmouth propagandist for the Communist Democrat party. I don’t know how long this person has been in the classroom, (I did some googling and I think I found her engagement notice from the 80’s, but I can’t confirm it), but I suspect she’s closing in on 20+ years.

This barking moonbat is one of the reasons our education system is so bad. As I noted before, Dixon-Neely has been suspended pending an whitewash investigation into her classroom demeanor. Frankly, she should be fired asap.

For a slightly less polite comment on Dixon-Neely and her competence as a Political Commissar instructor of this nations youth, I would recommend going to the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler and seeing what Emperor Misha has to say on the subject. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂
