The Incredible shrinking DNC convention

Good day all. As some of you may remember, I noted how the Democrats had cut their convention from the usual 4 days down to 3 days. This was due to money problems. Democrats, being Democrats, spent all their money and ran out.

There was also the problem of people actually showing up to give their enthusiastic support for “The One,” “Der Fubar.” that SCoaMF Barack Hussein Obama, currently the President of the Beverly Country Club United States of America. Probably due to the fact that no one is actually enthusiastic about this moron. Well, the other shoe has crashed into the floorboards. In a story in the Daily Mail, the Democratic Party is moving from the 74,000 seat Bank of America Panthers Stadium to the Time Warner Cable Arena which has a capacity of 20,000 seats. Here are some amusing details from the Daily Mail:

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’.

According to the Weather Underground, there is a chance of thunderstorms. A small chance. The real reason? Well it could have something to do with the “Enthusiasm Gap” between the Republican party and the Democrat Party.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

Next will be the homeless in shelters and the winos living under the bridges. Anyone still breathing is probably going to be dragged into the TWC Arena. (The dead may only participate in voting, not the actual convention. Another case of Progressive Liberal bigotry)

Footage of rows of empty seats at the stadium ((No, that is the Bank of America Stadium)), home of the Carolina Panthers, as Obama speaks on Thursday night would be politically disastrous – an enduring image of the contrast between his campaign of ‘hope’ and ‘change’ in 2008 and his dour, negative struggle for re-election in 2012.

I disagree. It would be several things, but disastrous? It might be the Democrats way of honoring Clint Eastwood’s speech last week. They could be showing that they have a sense of humor about Eastwood’s speech to an empty chair. It certainly would be very amusing from my point of view. But then, there is this little issue of Liberals having no sense of humor at all.

Democratic convention sources have indicated that the ‘contingency plan’ is at an advanced stage and that a move to the stadium appears certain.

I bet moving those Greek Columns from the 2008 convention does take a lot of careful planning. After all, Styrofoam does have to be handled carefully ((Obama God! Democrats build a temple for Barack)).

Obama’s crowds in 2008 were far bigger than in recent months. His largest audience has been 14,000 at a campaign kick-off rally at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in May.

Some 13,000 people were at Obama’s rally at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado on Sunday.

And that was the first indication that the Democrats had decided that an empty chair was more electable than Obama. They had something like 4000 of them at the Columbus rally back in May. Now this isn’t the only issue that has cropped up. They also made a huge sand sculpture of Obama that was damaged by rain. (I’ve heard they also had a serious cat problem with it as well)

Well, I have no doubt that these teensy weensy, really insignificant problems won’t be all that disruptive. I’m sure that call of “ALL ABOARD THE OBAMA EXPRESS” will resound across the nation. In fact, I see that one of the minions of Emperor Misha I at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler has also noted these small issues.
