The Vice-Presidential Debate Part II

Good day all. True to my word, I did not watch the debate last night. I have been reading the reviews on how the two debaters performed. The general consensus is that Paul Ryan was polite, generally knowledgeable, missed a few opportunities to hit Vice-President Biden.

Joe Biden came across as a complete horses ass. Now, I have purposely not watched any video on the debate. As I told someone today, I prefer keeping my blood pressure under control. From what I’ve been reading, Vice-President Biden was rude, obnoxious, childish and apparently interrupted Representative Ryan some 82 times ((Joe Biden interrupted Paul Ryan 82 times in 90 minutes)). Apparently, Vice-President Biden flat out lied a number of times during the debate.

One of the biggest lies was in regards to the terrorist attack in Benghazi that resulted in the murder of Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans. When the attack came up in the debate, moderator Martha Raddatz stated ((Biden Contradicts Evidence On Benghazi Security Requests)):

“And they wanted more security there,” Raddatz said.

To which Vice-President Biden replied:

“But we weren’t told they wanted more security there,” Biden responded. “We did not know they wanted more security there.”

This flies in the face of everything that has come out since the attack. In fact, state department officials have told congress that they did receive repeated requests for additional security measures. So good old Slow Joe threw the State Department and intelligence services under the bus. In fact, the Obama White House and his campaign are working overtime to try and clear up this mess. How bad is it? Well, Newt Gingrich appeared on CBS This Morning with former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm to discuss the debate. Gingrich said that Biden’s deception on Benghazi will “haunt” Barack Obama in the final three weeks:

It gets better. I just now saw something from Hot Air regarding the very real possibility of a nuclear war between Iran and Israel. Apparently Tom Brokaw ((Thomas “John” Brokaw)) was NOT impressed:

I just don’t think you should be laughing during a discussion about thermonuclear war with Iran. … It’s a very serious issue and however amused you are, it’s about tone as well as content. … It wasn’t about being overbearing. I thought that, in terms of content, he was very effective on Iran. It was the demeanor that he showed, and these are always a combination of the two. People are impressionistic when they look at these debates, and I don’t know how this is going to play out eventually, but sometimes you have to dial that down.

The comment by Mr. Brokaw on Biden’s attitude has been reflected all across the Internet. (With the exception of those morons at MSNBC of course) Pretty much everyone agrees that Biden was a complete jerk. From what I’m hearing on the question of Iran and nuclear weapons, Representative Ryan missed an opening. I understand, (And I am hearing this second hand), that Biden said that Iran doesn’t have a missile that can carry a nuke. Paul Ryan should have replied. “Mr. Vice President, they don’t need one. They could use a pickup truck.”

This brings up the opinions of Paul Ryan’s performance. This was his first debate on the national stage. He had command of his facts, and more importantly, was polite. His inexperience did show through, but he was able to maintain his calm and cool demeanor, unlike Biden who grinned like a braying jackass.

As to who won? I have no idea. I didn’t watch it and I’m only going by the reviews this morning. Apparently, Paul Ryan had a better grasp of the facts, and Biden’s attitude was a complete turnoff for a large segment of the voters. We shall see how this all shakes out in the next few days.

In any case, it’s time to send this smarmy jackass into retirement along with his incompetent boss.

Remember in November and make the right decision, or we will be stuck with another four years of Bidenisms.

Thatisall
