A musical interlude
Someone posted this and we thought we would share it. This is from the movie Zulu. It’s based on the true story of the Battle of Rorke’s Drift in 1879. This battle was fought soon after a British force of between 1300 and 2000 men was wiped out at the battle of Isandlwana on January 22nd 1879. While it is doubtful that this song was actually song at the Battle of Rorke’s Drift, it does convey the spirit of all involved. Continue reading
What about the Legal Immigrants? "Updated"
posted this back in 2006 during the attempt to ram though an amnesty for illegal aliens. My wife is an immigrant who came to the United States legally as is one of her sisters.Why am I re-posting this? Well, it seems that some of our dumber then dirt friends in Congress thought it would be a peachy idea to hand out taxpayer money, ostensibly to “stimulate the economy” to illegal aliens.
In this case it was a vote to make permanent the E-verify system. E-Verify System is short for Employment Eligibility Verification Program. It is an Internet-based computer application that permits employers to verify the employment eligibility (work-authorization status) of newly-hired employees, electronically over the Internet.
The Democratic party and a fair number of Republicans are opposed to keeping our borders secure. You can read more about what happened at NumbersUSA VICTORY.
Meanwhile, here is a repost of my original rant. One update, My wife recieved her 10 year permanent green card last year. 🙂
