As you may recall, the Cyprus banking structure pretty much collapsed a little over a week ago. The European Union decided the best way to fix things was to steal 10% of the bank depositors money.
This made the depositors very unhappy and after a few days of near rebellion, the Cyprus government shot that plan down. People thought that they would actually try to figure out a way to fix things that didn’t reward the EU banks and IMF at the expense of the depositors. They were incorrect in their thinking.
The EU came up with a new idea instead. They are going after accounts that have 100,000 euros instead, and they are going to loot them for 40% of their value. This is an even dumber idea then the first one and that one was pretty bad. The banks on Cyprus, as I mentioned earlier, do a lot of money laundering for the Russian Mafia. (Probably other criminal organizations as well) These people are not going to take losing that much money, amounting to billions of euros, lying down.
In talking with a few people, we’re thinking that at best, the Russians are going to squeeze them in the energy sector. Europe gets a lot of their natural gas from Russia and without a doubt, that gas is going to get a lot more expensive down the road and suddenly not be available due to “Issues” with the pipelines.
At worst, a number of these bankers and finance ministers are going to get killed. Not only that, but I suspect a number of their family members are going to suddenly start having fatal accidents and tragic drug overdoses. These EU idiots have their heads so far up their asses that they can’t see what is going to be coming for them.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of crooks. The Cyprus banks wouldn’t be in trouble if the EU finance people hadn’t pushed them into making loans to countries like Greece. Now they are finding out that the loans are never going to be paid back and the Germans, French and other “Senior” member states of the EU are going to screw over the smaller countries.
Personally, I’m going to make some popcorn and start a spreadsheet on the number of fatal accidents among the elites of Europe. This idiocy is the causes of wars. You know, wars like the small one in Europe between 1939 and 1945. This time we need to stay out of it.
