Good day all. The 2016 Presidential race is starting to get underway with the goal of replacing that SCoaMF Barack Hussein “King Putt” Obama. On the Progressive Liberal Democrats side, they are pushing Hillary Clinton since it’s her turn.
On the Republican side, there are a number of potential candidates, some of whom have already been discarded by the conservative wing of the Republican Party. Others who appear to be, on the surface, potentially good presidents have not made their decisions. Originally, the hope for the RINO contingent was Governor Chris “The New Jersey Whale” Christie. However, he has a few issues with things like the Second Amendment, cutting government spending and now slobbering all over Der Fubar.
Now we are starting to see a new movement from the “Party of Stupid.” They want to draft Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida and brother of former president George W. Bush. Here are the details from the Washington Post:
Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft former Florida governor Jeb Bush into the 2016 presidential race, courting him and his intimates and starting talks on fundraising strategy. Concerned that the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal has damaged New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s political standing and alarmed by the steady rise of Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), prominent donors, conservative leaders and longtime operatives say they consider Bush the GOP’s brightest hope to win back the White House.
Bush’s advisers insist that he is not actively exploring a candidacy and will not make a decision until at least the end of this year. But over the past few weeks, Bush has traveled the country delivering policy speeches, campaigning for Republicans ahead of the fall midterm elections, honing messages on income inequality and foreign policy, and cultivating ties with wealthy benefactors — all signals that he is considering a run.
Just what we do NOT need. Another phony conservative Bush. George HW Bush was bad. As soon as he took office, he started undoing all of Reagan’s good works. Junior Bush gave us that load of crap called “Compassionate Conservatism.” (Progressive Liberalism at a slower speed) Now they want to give us Jeb “I never met an illegal alien I didn’t want to give amnesty to” Bush?
NO! No! No! A thousand times NO!
Many if not most of 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney’s major donors are reaching out to Bush and his confidants with phone calls, e-mails and invitations to meet, according to interviews with 30 senior Republicans. One bundler estimated that the “vast majority” of Romney’s top 100 donors would back Bush in a competitive nomination fight.
And how well did President Mitt Romney do? Oh Wait! He lost!!
“He’s the most desired candidate out there,” said another bundler, Brian Ballard, who sat on the national finance committees for Romney in 2012 and John McCain in 2008. “Everybody that I know is excited about it.”
Great, another Beltway bandit with delusions of intelligence.
He would enter a wide-open contest for the GOP nomination with other advantages, as well: deep ties to his party’s establishment and evangelical wings, and a reputation as a reform-minded policy wonk. Fluent in Spanish, Bush has credibility within the Hispanic community that could help broaden his coalition. He also has the gravitas many Republicans say is required to compete with former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democrats’ leading potential contender.
“Jeb has the capacity to bring the party together,” said Fred Malek, a top Republican official who said he has been in regular contact with Bush.
No he doesn’t. He will tear it apart and we will get stuck with President “What does it matter?” Clinton. If Bush is the nominee, most of the conservative wing will stay home or if the vote, vote for a third party candidate. That includes me. I will never, ever vote for another Bush. That blithering idiot Malek doesn’t have a clue what is going on out here in “Flyover Country” and doesn’t care.
Bush’s vocal support for immigration reform and Common Core education standards — lightning-rod issues for tea party activists — could dog him in the GOP primaries.
Does this sound familiar? Ever hear the term “Romneycare?” Common Core is a disaster with states now turning their backs on it. Parents have taken a long look at it and recoiled in utter horror over it. Now I will state for the record that this doesn’t affect Mrs, Webmaster or myself since we have no children. As to the immigration reform? Bush’s idea of reform is granting amnesty to millions of criminals, not actually fixing the approval process or securing the borders.
In any campaign, Bush would have to grapple with the legacy of his brother George W. Bush and his unpopular wars. A recent Washington Post-ABC News poll found that almost half of all Americans surveyed say they “definitely would not” vote for Jeb Bush for president.
“The ‘Bush fatigue’ question is always there,” said former Mississippi governor Haley Barbour (R). “If his name was Jeb Brown instead of Jeb Bush, he’d be the front-runner.”
I lost all respect for Barbour when he started pardoning murderers at the end of his governorship ((Outgoing Gov. Haley Barbour’s pardons shock Mississippi)). Prior to that, he had done a magnificent job, particularly cleaning up after Hurricane Katrina. There was none of the mess that plagued Louisiana and there was real talk of Barbour running for President against Obama. No one these days is paying any attention to him.
A Bush candidacy also would pose a threat to Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), whose donor and political circles overlap with those of the former governor. Bush blessed Rubio’s rise to the state House speakership, but their affiliation has since faded. Florida Republicans familiar with Rubio’s thinking said he is moving forward with a campaign, betting that Bush will not run.
I’m not to worried about Rubio running for President. He would lose. Why? He shot himself in the head with his “Gang of 8” amnesty for illegals push and ruined his chances with the conservative base. They might leave him in the Senate, he may be elected governor in the future, but he’s going to have to pretty much grovel before the Conservatives consider him presidential material.
The level of anger at Washington and the Beltway insiders of both parties has risen to very high levels. One of the reasons Romney lost, besides the failure of his ORCA Get out the vote application, was that many conservatives didn’t see any real difference between him and Il Douche. So, they stayed home. Now the Beltway RINO’s are trying to do it again. With the right candidate, the Republicans can utterly destroy the Democrats. Instead, they once again want to snatch defeat from the Jaws of Victory.
No More Bush! No More Bush! Not now, not ever. We’ve had 25 years of Bush, Clinton and Bush. Now, as a result of this, we have the most incompetent presidency every. Polls may say that people miss G.W. Bush when compared to Obama, but that’s like saying people miss a punch to the stomach now that they are being castrated. This isn’t a European kingdom and we don’t need family dynasties. Jeb Bush, just stay comfortably retired.
