Commies recruiting American Academics

Now here’s something I haven’t seen since the 1980’s. A communist nation actively recruiting American traitors in academia.

It seems that the Cuban Intelligence service, the DGI, have not given up the idea that Communism is an utter failure and have decided to recruit from the only group in the United States that still agrees with them, the American University professors. Here are the details from Bill Gertz on Fox News and the Washington Free Beacon:

Cuba’s communist-led intelligence services are aggressively recruiting leftist American academics and university professors as spies and influence agents, according to an internal FBI report published this week.

Cuban intelligence services “have perfected the work of placing agents, that includes aggressively targeting U.S. universities under the assumption that a percentage of students will eventually move on to positions within the U.S. government that can provide access to information of use to the [Cuban intelligence service],” the five-page unclassified FBI report says. It notes that the Cubans “devote a significant amount of resources to targeting and exploiting U.S. academia.”

And I’m afraid that the Cubans are correct. While most students will understand that their professors are flaming idiots, a few will swallow their crap hook, line and sinker. Now how doe they go about their recruiting? Sadly, these moonbats can’t wait to jump at the chance to destroy America.

One recruitment method used by the Cubans is to appeal to American leftists’ ideology. “For instance, someone who is allied with communist or leftist ideology may assist the [Cuban intelligence service] because of his/her personal beliefs,” the FBI report, dated Sept. 2, said.

Others are offered lucrative business deals in Cuba in a future post-U.S. embargo environment, and are treated to extravagant, all-expense paid visits to the island.

Yes, noting like visiting the only workers paradise in the Western hemisphere, where they are carefully shown all the happy workers happily going about their assigned duties, and getting free medical treatment at the best hospitals. Of course, this isn’t the only way. Sometimes, good old fashioned threats are used.

Coercive tactics used by the Cubans include exploiting personal weaknesses and sexual entrapment, usually during visits to Cuba. The Cubans “will actively exploit visitors to the island” and U.S. academics are targeted by a special department of the spy agency.

I really can’t see how using a honey trap would work against those moonbats the Cubans are looking at. Most of them have no shame to begin with and with the entitlement mentality they all have, boinking some hooker won’t bother them much. Of course, the DGI could use underage male and female prostitutes. Even collages will go after pedophiles. The Cubans are also looking at people who can be used to influence American polices.

The Cubans do not limit recruitments to “clandestine agents,” the report said. Other people who do not have access to secrets are co-opted as spies because of their political position or political views that can be exploited for supporting Cuban goals, either as open supporters or unwitting dupes.

“Some of these individuals may not be told openly that they are working for the [Cuban intelligence service], even though it may not be too hard for them to figure out,” the report said. “The relationship may openly appear to be a benign, mutually beneficial friendship.”

That would explain all those Moonbats in Hollywood. However, I would wage that Sean Penn isn’t an unwitting dupe. He may be an active traitor. The DGI has been doing this for decades, going back to the early days of the Castro Regime. For instance, there is Ana Montes, now serving 25 years for espionage.

One of the most notorious Cuban spy cases involved Ana Montes, a senior analyst who worked in the highest levels of the U.S. intelligence and policymaking communities. Montes, a former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst, pleaded guilty in 2002 to spying for Cuba for 17 years. She is serving a 25-year prison term.

Montes was recruited by Cuban intelligence in 1984 while a student at the Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she was a graduate student and had voiced her hatred of the then-Reagan administration policy of backing anti-communist rebels fighting the Sandinista regime in Nicaragua. She was recruited at SAIS by another Cuban spy, Marta Rita Velazquez, who worked for U.S. Agency for International Development and fled the country after Montes was arrested in 2001.

This isn’t a game. These so called academics are totally disloyal to the United States and everything it stands for. They want to bring down our way of life and create their version of a People’s Republic. Just like you see in Cuba and North Korea. People such as Sean Penn, Michael Moore and others of their ilk are nothing more then propagandists for our enemies. What they fail to understand is that if they succeed, they will not be part of the ruling elites. They will be one of the first ones up against the wall.

It’s time to stop pussyfooting around, and start digging these moles out of the Universities, entertainment field and news media. We need to start criminally charging these clods and if applicable, (And I think actively spying for a hostile power qualifies), executing them. Back in the 1950’s we had Joe McCarthy who was screaming that everyone was a communist. We had the House Un-American Activities Committee and we had the “Red Scare.” The left managed to discredit all that, and continues to do so, in a few cases correctly. However, those screaming “Communist Threat” turned out to be more right then wrong, even that idiot McCarthy.

Now we are seeing the rise of the totalitarians once again, primarily with Islam. If you have any doubts that they aren’t working with organizations like the DGI, the North Korean RGB as well as the drug cartels, I have a nice swamp I want to sell you. Bad times are coming and thanks to the leftists, progressives, Democrats and other assorted moonbats, there is a very good chance of a 3^rd World War, and the odds will be against us to the point that we will lose.
