Meet the new AG, just like the old AG

Good day all. In case you’ve been living under a rock in a cave with no lights on, then you may not be aware that the most corrupt Attorney General in American history, Eric Holder, has resigned his post. The person they selected to replace him is Loretta Lynch.

nothing to see here

Ms. Lynch is currently the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. At first glance, which occurred right after her nomination, she looked like an actual good choice for the job. Of course, we have to remember she was selected by Eric Holder and Barack Obama, so there had to be something wrong with her. It’s turned out there’s plenty. Here are some of the details from the Washington Times:

When it comes to most of the thorny issues she’ll be asked to referee on between President Obama and Congress, Loretta Lynch, the woman nominated to be the next attorney general, said she doesn’t yet have a sense for how she’ll come down.

And what were some of these issues?

Ms. Lynch, who faces a probable vote Thursday in the Judiciary Committee and likely action by the full Senate next month, deflected dozens of questions in 221 pages of written responses to the panel, saying she wasn’t familiar with the fight over documents from the Fast and Furious gun-walking operation, couldn’t talk accurately about major parts of the administration’s immigration policy, didn’t want to prejudge the rights afforded suspected terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay and was “not familiar” with bills to close the gun show background check loophole.

double-facepalm

If Lynch isn’t familiar with with some of the major scandals, one of which resulted in her predecessor being held in contempt of Congress, then she is either a total incompetent or an outright liar. But wait! It gets better.

The instances where Ms. Lynch did take a stand, she signaled continuity with current Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., whom she defended for refusing to back the Defense of Marriage Act in court, for not prosecuting marijuana users in many states despite federal law that still makes the drug illegal and for issuing a legal opinion backing the president’s immigration actions that a federal court last week ruled illegal.

And when asked about herself, Ms. Meglamaniac had this to say.

And asked specifically to list her own mistakes, Ms. Lynch instead praised herself, saying she’s done great work on cybercrime — but wished she’d started it earlier.

From what I’ve been hearing, she has made a lot of mistakes, many with regards to victims rights. In a detailed posting on Powerline Blog they posted a letter detailing how Lynch violated the law on notifying victims of crimes. One of the examples was one Felix Sater.

In one case, the Felix Sater matter, Ms. Lynch’s office stands accused of having failed to notify the victims in a $40 million stock swindle – as is clearly required by the federal Crime Victims’ Rights Act, 18 U.S.C. 3771 – that a guilty plea had been obtained from one of the defendants in the case and that a sentencing agreement had been worked out. While the plea in 1998 preceded Ms. Lynch’s first tenure as the EDNY prosecutor, and the sentencing a decade later preceded her second tenure, after Ms. Lynch took office, she continued the concealment of the case, and failed to notify victims of any further proceedings in the case, notwithstanding her obligations under the CVRA. Moreover, after Ms. Lynch’s first tenure commenced, she used Mr. Sater as a cooperating witness against many co-conspirators who pled guilty, and repeatedly adjourned Mr. Sater’s sentencing, never revealing to his victims any of the proceedings, and failed to reveal to the co-conspirators, it seems, that he would be permitted to keep the money he stole in exchange for his cooperation, implicating, of course, grave issues of prosecutorial misconduct – to wit, the failure to disclose Brady materials.

Department-of-Injustice

A number of Republicans, who at first didn’t see any real issues with Lynch when she was first nominated, aren’t to happy with her responses.

“Personally, I wanted to support Ms. Lynch’s nomination,” Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican, wrote in an op-ed in Politico Tuesday, praising her service as a federal prosecutor. “However, the answers she gave at her confirmation hearing are, in my view, disqualifying for serving as our nation’s chief law enforcement officer.”

Senator Cruz isn’t alone in his problems with Lynch, however we have a much bigger problem. RINO’s like Orrin Hatch and Lindsey Graham who can’t wait to put her into the AG’s seat. According to Politico:

Loretta Lynch cleared a key vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday in her bid to become the nation’s next attorney general, picking up support from three Republicans on the panel in favor of her confirmation.

And who were these three scumsucking, treasonous RINO’s?

The vote was 12-8. The three Republicans who backed her nomination, along with all committee Democrats, were Orrin Hatch of Utah, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jeff Flake of Arizona.

dead rino

How typical of Hatch and the others. They don’t give a flying f**k at a rolling doughnut about anything but their own personal privileges. The rule of law and the Constitution? Bah! Not important. Thanks to them, we will soon have a new AG who is just as crooked and racist as the old one. Basically, we’re getting Eric Holder in a skirt. I think it’s a safe bet that she won’t be prosecuting her pal Eric Holder for his criminal activities, and will continue with Holder’s obstruction of justice and protecting Obama at every turn
