Give me BBQ or give me DEATH!

Good day all. Last week news came out that the Environmental Secret Police Protection Agency was looking at regulating backyard barbeque grills. Unfortunately for the EPA, someone spotted their secret plans and raised the flag of rebellion.

That the EPA is even considering regulating, (with the obvious plan of banning all together) barbequing is yet another indication that this is an agency that has gone long past its shelf life. Here are the details from Fox News:

A Missouri state legislator wants the Environmental Protection Agency to back off of people’s backyard barbecues. On Monday, State Senator Eric Schmitt (R) from St. Louis kicked off a #porksteakrebellion after he discovered the EPA is funding a study on propane grill emissions that suggest pit masters use a special tray to catch grease drippings and a “catalytic” filtration system to reduce air pollution, reports Fox News KTVI.

I wonder who at the EPA just bought stock in the manufacturers of backyard BBQ grills? It’s obvious the plan would be to force people to replace their current, perfectly good grills with some politically correct vegan style grill.

The idea that the EPA wants to find their way into our back yards, where we’re congregating with our neighbors, having a good time, on the 4th of July, barbecuing pork steak or hamburgers, is ridiculous and it’s emblematic of agency that’s sort of out of control,” Schmitt said.

This is the same agency that wants to spy on people and regulate how they take showers. Last year they went after wood stoves. Out of control? Ya Think? So who are thy giving my tax dollars too?

The EPA is funding a $15,000 University of California-Riverside study to look at the particulate emissions you breathe when grilling over an open flame. Along with the drip tray, the emission removal system includes the use of a “secondary air filtration system is composed of a single pipe duct system which contains a specialized metal filter, a metal fan blade, a drive shaft, and an accompanying power system with either a motorized or manual method,” according to study.

Those opposed to the study met Monday night at St. Louis’ LeGrand’s Market & Catering sandwiches shop after Schmitt launched the rebellion via Twitter.

Personally, I think being able to barbecue in your back yard extends your life,” customer Pat Schommer told Fox. “It’s part of pleasure – backyard barbecuing and I love it.”

And right there is the reason the EPA wants to stop it. People like doing it, and like all Progressive totalitarians, anything that people want, must be banned, for their own good of course.

The EPA said that it doesn’t regulate people’s backyard barbecues and that the grant is part of the EPA’s “National Student Design Competition for Sustainability Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet (2014)”, which is a student-designed competition for sustainability.

Stop it! You’re going to make me pass out! That has to be the funniest thing I’ve heard in the last 8 minutes! The EPA don’t want to regulate people’s BBQ grills. Pull the other finger, it has a bell on it. This is the same agency that wanted to drag corporations into court on false charges simply to make an example of them. Of course they want to ban backyard BBQ’s. They also want to ban or regulate every single aspect of human life in the United States. Do you like to eat meat? (Beef, Chicken, Fish, Poultry)? That causes Global Warming so it will be banned.

You are now ordered to eat only Vegan menus! That a State Senator was the one to discover this and NOT a member of congress worries me. It’s good to see the locals keeping an eye on the Federals, but this is something that should have been caught by someone in Congress.

Eventually, the EPA or one of the other agencies is going to do something that causes one Hell of a backlash, including state governments literally taking action and arresting a pack of power mad bureaucrats. Now THAT will cause a constitutional crises.
