Diane Feinstein, book burner

Good day all. We’ve known for decades that Diane Feinstein hates the Second Amendment and wants it abolished, followed by a general round up of all privately owned guns. Well, it looks like the Second Amendment isn’t the only part of the Constitution she despises.

Now she wants to do away with the First Amendment and start censoring the Internet. She announced that she wants certain “Types” of books removed because they might be used by terrorists. Here are the details from The Register:

Senator Dianne Feinstein is calling for a pair of controversial instructionals to be banned from the internet. Feinstein (D-CA) did not say exactly how she plans to scrub The Anarchist Cookbook and Inspire magazine from every server, desktop and notebook on the planet, but none the less she wants both titles pulled from circulation.

Feinstein, like most idiots, has no idea that once something is on the Internet, it’s not going to go away. This is besides that little thing I mentioned before, the First Amendment. Feinstein made her remarks after a pair of women were arrested attempting terrorist attacks in NYC for Al Qaeda.

The comments come after two women were arrested in New York City on charges of plotting terrorist attacks. The duo reportedly had ties to the late former editor of the Al-Qaeda backed English-language Inspire, and were accused of seeking out other bomb-making guides in preparation for an attack. Now Feinstein, a big fan of America’s surveillance apparatus, wants to make both Inspire and the 1969 Anarchist Cookbook illegal to make available online.

The Anarchist Cookbook has been out for some 40+ years. Besides the Internet, there are copies in public libraries as well as people’s personal book cases. You can get copies in Hard Cover, Paperback and Kindle from Amazon. I wonder if Feinstein wants to raid all those libraries and force Amazon to pull the books from their inventory/servers? Oh wait! She can’t! There’s that pesky thing called the First Amendment and this book has already dealt with banning attempts when it first came out. Of course, Feinstein isn’t about to let little things like the United States Constitution stand in her way of creating a totalitarian police state, no siree Bob!

“We must remain vigilant against these types of attacks and place a high priority on tracking and interdicting such plots,” the fifth-term Senator said.

Uh huh, and of course the best way to do that is to turn America’s intelligences systems inward and spy on Americans, especially those right wing Tea Partiers and Constitutional conservatives!

“I am particularly struck that the alleged bombers made use of online bomb-making guides like the Anarchist Cookbook and Inspire magazine. These documents are not, in my view, protected by the First Amendment and should be removed from the internet.”

Wrong you Fascist cow, but then you have never been right about anything have you? Pity that the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled against people like you. In fact, we had a little World War with a bunch of people with similar views as yours towards books. Perhaps you should watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Dr. Henry Jones Senior, played by the great Sean Connery, had a great line when talking to people like you. Dr. Jones was talking about his diary to a Nazi and had this to say.

It tells me that goose-stepping morons like yourself should try reading books instead of BURNING them!

Exactly! That quote was valid in 1791 when the First Amendment was adopted as it is today. Now Feinstein isn’t alone in her belief that the book should be pulled. However, there is a slight difference.

Difficult as it may be to have a book permanently “removed” from the internet, Feinstein shares the opinion of at least one prominent figure: the author of the Anarchist Cookbook. William Powell now says that the book should be taken out of circulation, calling its underlying premise “profoundly flawed.”

I’ve never read the book, although I have paged through it. However I do know people who have been or are in the Military who have. They’ve told me that following some of the “recipes” in that book is a sure fire way to kill yourself. It’s also very dated. Today, terrorists use cell phones to set off Improvised Explosive Devices, (More commonly known as “Bombs”), and those didn’t exist when Powell wrote his book. There are also far better books and pamphlets out there for building bombs.

Does Feinstein want those banned as well? She might need to speak with the United States Military, who were the ones to publish them. You should try reading the U.S. Army Improvised Munitions handbook sometime you old moonbat. It’s a far better guide than the Anarchist cookbook
