Good day all. Last week, the Obamatrade bill, which would have allowed what is called “Fast Track” status, went down to crushing defeat. Obama, Boehner and McConnell were humiliated by this setback. Rep. Paul Ryan, who was pushing this thing went off the deep end and channeled Nancy Pelosi when she was shoving Obamacare down our throats.
The problem with this so called “Free Trade” bill was that no one knew what was in it. The whole thing was kept secret, not only from the American people, but from a number of members of Congress. Because the bill, if passed, would have allowed Obama to basically do whatever he wanted to reach an agreement, and then Congress could only vote up or down, people reacted and said “STOP!”
Surprisingly, an overwhelming majority of Americans were opposed to giving Obama that type of authority. It crossed party lines. You had people like Elizabeth “Lie-awatha” Warren and Jeff Sessions both working to kill this thing.

However, this isn’t the end of the story. The House under that scummy crybaby, Boehner is going to try and force it through again this week. Paul Ryan is one of the RINO’s leading the charge. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
A top House Republican supporting President Obama’s failing trade legislation said Sunday that he’s “optimistic” about final passage but that Obama must work hard to sway fellow Democrats who helped defeat the measure. “The president has a lot of work to do within his own party to turn this thing around,” Wisconsin GOP Rep. Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, told “Fox News Sunday.” “I’m optimistic because I think that this can be salvaged.”
Obama is going to have to turn around dozens of his party members, and their antipathy to the Free Enterprise system, not to mention being the Union’s water carriers, will make this almost impossible. Then there are the Republicans who voted this down. They won’t be easy to talk into changing their votes either. The final vote wasn’t even close.
The House voted against the legislation 302 to 123, even after Obama met with fellow Democrats on Capitol Hill to try to get their support.
The basic message to Obama was “Screw you!” Frankly, unless this thing was going to reward all the Democrat’s cronies, it never had much of a chance with the Democrat Caucus. One of the things they were pushing was a deal for the Democrats. It was supposed to provide money for “retraining” people who lost their jobs due to any trade deals. I’ve seen how well those “Retraining” programs work. They don’t.
Now do not get me wrong. I am in favor of free trade. I am not in favor of secret, back room deals that we wont’ find out about until it’s to late. The rumors that came out about what was in these bills made a lot of people oppose it who might otherwise support it. Things like giving Obama carte blanche on Immigration policy as well as ramping up the H1B visa program to even greater levels.
That alone turned off many people who might have supported the bill. As we’ve seen, companies are firing American workers and replacing them with H1B visa holders. These people are willing to work for far less money then Citizens or lawful resident aliens. They also can’t just quit a job and go find another one that pays better. The second their job ends, they are deported. For all intents and purposes, they are wage serfs.
Ryan and the others are spinning a tale of woe and fear regarding the failure of this deal. Paul Ryan is an outright liar. All this does is make sure that Obama, who can’t be trusted to negotiate his way out of a wet paper bag, has to submit any agreements to Congress and Congress can then seek to make amendments that minimize harm to the United States.
Ryan has shown his true colors. He is just another big government statist. Hopefully, he will be primaried in 2016 and lose just like his old pal Eric Cantor. He’s shown he can’t be trusted. Keep an eye out for any funny business and let your representatives know that until we can see what is in these bills, we want them shot down.

i would contact all my reps to let them know how I feel but they don’t seem to give a flying *&#%. we have one R and one I but it’s Colllins and King (might as well be D’s) I just can’t wrap my mind around republicans ( any congress critter for that matter) wanting to give more authority to the boy tyrant. “things that make you say WTH”
There’s to many who think they are the ruling class and not enough who understand that they are just our representatives. I know how to fix it, but it isn’t the way I want to go.
And the SAD thing. . . I used to respect Ryan. No more. I’m tired of RINOs promising one thing, and delivering another.
So. . .from now on, when the GOP decides to renege on a promise, I not only don’t vote for their re-election, I vote for the DEMOCRAT. At least that way, I **KNOW** that they’ll vote against my interests. .
