Offended shopper calls 911 over Confederate flag

Good day all. Well, the SJW purge of all things confederate continues apace. We have a story about a (Trigger Warning) foot soldier in the first Perpetually Offended Brigade of the Army of Social Justice Warriors calling 911 over someone selling Confederate and Nazi memorabilia at a flea market.

Yes, it’s true. Some stupid moonbat saw someone selling stuff he or she didn’t like and called the police to have the seller arrested. What’s even dumber, the police actually showed up. Here are the details from The American Mirror:

A shopper perusing the merchandise at the Redwood Country Flea Market was so offended by a vendor selling Confederate and Nazi historical memorabilia, the person actually called 911.

double-facepalm

Wallingford, Connecticut police were dispatched to the flea market to investigate.

The only thing the police should have been investigating was the idiot who called 911, which is for EMERGENCIES ONLY, to whine about someone selling a confederate battle flag.

The police chief William Wright tells News 8 “the reason no one was arrested was because the items were being sold on private property” — not to mention no laws were broken.

Of course no laws were broken, other then a potential civil rights charge, along with a charge of misuse of the 911 system against the SJW who called it in.

There was a table set up with this material,” Wright says, according to Journal-Record. “It’s not criminally illegal, but obviously it offended this person. It causes some people a sense of being uncomfortable. Certainly the owner could preclude this merchandise.”

Why should he? He has product to sell and there are people who want to buy it. As for those whining crybabies?

get off my lawn

The town resident who called 911 said there were helmets with swastikas, images of Hitler and other historical Nazi items.

Usually, when you sell that stuff, you will find Swastika’s and pictures of old Schicklegruber. So what’s your point you effing wimp?

I was shaking and almost vomiting,” he tells the paper. “I had to run. My grandmother had numbers,” referring to the digits the Nazis would tattoo on prisoners.

JW-Life's tough

Hey, guess what? My father was in the Army and was sent through Dachau right after it was liberated. He made sure his family understood what he saw, and that included a few souvenirs he brought back after the war. Guess what? They had swastika’s on them you loser.

It’s pretty obvious that you didn’t inherit your grandmothers strength. She survived hell on earth. She might not like the symbols, but I’ll bet she would be the first to slap you upside the head for trying to ban them. Ban them and people forget what happened. This can cause it to happen again. Perhaps you should not visit any of the Holocaust museums lest you see a Nazi flag. Why you might actually wet yourself over that.

The caller complained that the Confederate items were “not authentic” and were replicas of flags and weapons. He says the seller told him “he was selling so much he can’t keep it in stock.”

Oh, so you were looking for authentic items? Hate to tell, you, but the real deal tends to cost a lot more then the reproductions you normally see.

Jason Teal, president of the Meriden-Wallingford NAACP, was contacted to see what he thought. “It’s difficult because it’s on private property and it’s considered free speech,” Teal says.

Pesky things, the First Amendment and Private Property. It means you can’t have people locked up for “offending you.”

According to the paper, the complainant also called Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr., who promptly called Chief Wright. “I had to check with the chief over what is actionable and what isn’t,” according to the mayor. “Unless something violates state or federal law, there’s no jurisdiction for government to do anything. We had to ask, is it something controlled by law?”

headdesk

I looked up Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. And found he’s a so called Republican. The very fact that he called the chief of police to see if they could shut this down tells me all I need to know about this politically correct Connecticut coward. He should have told the moonbat to take a long walk of a short pier. He isn’t alone when it comes to the desire to suppress views that they don’t like.

And the assistant regional director of the Anti-Defamation League in Connecticut sees a difference between authentic memorabilia and “cheap replicas” “used as symbols of hate.” “It’s unfortunate that under the law people have the right to sell these things; but it doesn’t mean they should sell these things,” Joshua Sayles says. “It’s not a crime but I would call it hate. People look at the situation in Charleston and say it’s down in the South. But this stuff is here in Connecticut.”

Hey dimbulb! The last I checked, Connecticut was still part of the Union and subject to the Constitution of the United States. Granted you are a moron, and it wouldn’t bother me a bit of all the Progressive states were pushed out, but the right right to not be offended does not exist. The very fact that you and your ilk want to suppress anyone who disagrees with you shows me what you really are. Nazi’s and Fascists. Perhaps you should consider buying some Nazi flags. Hey, I’ll do you one better. Here’s a Confederate battle flag for you.

this is what the PC culture has wrought. When you control what people can say you start to control what they think. They start thinking that things that are non-pc are somehow illegal. I’m afraid the first amendment et al is toast.

Greetings from Cheshire, the next town over from Wallingford. Who, along with her big sister Meriden, has been having a bear of a time the past few months with shootings, stabbings, fires, and thugs leasing the po-pos on high speed chases. Last week was a group of about 15 people assaulting the EMTs who same out to treat one of their own family members having a heart attack. Seems like the cops finally found something they thought they might be able to handle. Yes, most of Connecticut really is this liberal; we’re turning into California East.
