Good day all. Last week, the SCoaMF, King Putt the Last announced an agreement with Iran that basically gave them everything they wanted, and gave the United States, nothing.
Once Der Fubar’s Secretary of State came back, he waved his agreement and promptly ran off to the United Nations to have it ratified. In doing so, he forgot one small thing. Getting the Advice and Consent of the United States Senate with regards to this treaty. This is an outright violation of the Constitution, but as we know, Obama cares nothing fro the Constitution and the Congress is to cowardly or crooked to remove Obama from office.
For those of you to lazy to look up the section of the Constitution referring to treaties, (And SHAME on YOU!), here it is from Wikipedia:
Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, includes the Treaty Clause, which empowers the President of the United States to propose and chiefly negotiate agreements, which must be confirmed by the Senate, between the United States and other countries, which become treaties between the United States and other countries after the advice and consent of a supermajority of the United States Senate.
That is the basic explanation of the Treaty Clause. Here is the exact text:
[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur…
Basically, Obama could make the agreement with the enemy, but he would need to submit it to the Senate, and they would have to approve it with at least 2/3rds of the members agreeing. With the current makeup of the Senate, that isn’t going to happen. Obama knows this and so he decided to just ignore the Constitution and get the United Nations to do his dirty work. This has outraged Congress and it’s crossing party lines. Here are a few details on that from The Hill:
The Obama administration was forced to play defense on Monday after lawmakers in both parties criticized its decision to let the United Nations — not Congress — have the first say on the Iran nuclear deal.
Republicans pounced on the decision following the U.N. Security Council’s 15-0 vote, arguing the White House was giving short shrift to congressional assent in a rush to build international support for the agreement.
What part of “Obama hates America and doesn’t care about the Constitution” are you not understanding?
The White House appeared to hope that the U.N. vote would build pressure on Congress to back the deal, but the strategy risked backfiring, with some Democrats scolding the administration for the decision. Rep. Eliot Engel (N.Y.), the top Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee, joined panel Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) in a statement saying they were “disappointed” that the U.N. Security Council voted “before Congress was able to fully review and act on this agreement.”
Disappointed? Is that all?
“Regardless of this morning’s outcome, Congress will continue to play its role,” they added.
As for the Regime, they are still saying that Congress will have it’s say.
Administration officials fought back, countering that lawmakers still have two months to make up their minds. “No ability of the Congress has been impinged on,” Secretary of State John Kerry insisted on Monday.
[youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbp_JQ7RxqM’]
Kerry claimed that the administration was between a rock and a hard place. Either the White House risked getting flak at home, he said, or Iran and the other negotiating nations would balk at the idea of holding their landmark international agreement hostage to one country’s legislature. “Frankly, some of these other countries were quite resistant to the idea, as sovereign nations, that they were subject to the United States Congress,” Kerry said.
And John Forbes Kerry, who speaks French, caved in to the demands of his European masters. I guess he forgot that he is the “Secretary of State for the United States of America” and not the junior catamite for the European Union. When Reagan found himself in a situation like this, he picked up his papers and WALKED OUT! Kerry dropped trousers and opened a fresh jar of Vasoline.
“When you’re negotiating with six other countries, it does require, obviously, a measure of sensitivity and multilateral cooperation that has to take into account other nations’ desires.”
So speaketh a member of the One World Government crowd. Perhaps Jacques Francois Kerri’ might have considered the reaction of his former colleagues before he and Der Fubar shipped this thing off to the UN. The reaction is not quite what they anticipated.
Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), the No. 2 Senate Republican, called the U.N. action “an affront to the American people” and accused the White House of “jamming this deal through” without proper congressional scrutiny.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who is running for the White House, used the phrase “capitulation Monday,” pointing to both the Iran vote and Cuba’s opening of a U.S. Embassy in Washington.
“This is a bad start for a bad deal,” said Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).
Now the Crybaby is noted for his willingness to cave in to Obama for pretty much anything he wants. This time, Crybaby might actually stand up to his master for a good 5 minutes before caving in again.
One thing that might just stop this, and give it enough votes to override King Putt’s veto, (Thank you Senator Bob Corker for that bit of stupidity), is the information coming out that there are a couple of secret deals in this POS that Obama is not telling congress about. There are many rumors on what these “Secret annexes” are. One rumor, and take this with a grain of salt, is that Obama would order the United States Military to stop any attack by Israel on Iran.
I have no idea if that is true, and frankly I don’t think even that noted anti-Semite, Barack Hussein Obama would agree to that. If he did, then this treaty would be dead on arrival and he knows it. As it is, Il Douche is ignoring his constitutional duty and bypassing the Congress yet again. I wonder when those morons will say “Enough is Enough!” and finally grow a pair and impeach that tyrannical scumbag?
